La Canfora admits that if the Patriots end up trading backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo, it’s possible that this could change their asking price for Butler.

That would be a big help, but would likely mean the Patriots are getting a top 5 pick, or a late 1st and some mid round picks.

There is zero reason to give back #32. The only people who don't realize how big of a ripoff that is are pats fans and espn/media

Agreed. Keep the pick. This year's CB class is the deepest in a decade. I like the option of keeping the pick and having 3 picks in the top 42. Mortgaging your future to win now is the kind of thinking that has made the Saints so awful for 51 years.

can be argued that 42 and 76 are more valuable than 32 and 103.

We don't have a future, just a rapidly dwindling present.

You go get Butler.

No one should have an issue with trading our 2nd or a later pick away for Butler. I have hesitation with 32 because you get that 5th year option.

We don't have to just give shite away. Loomis needs to bargain and get the price lowered like a good GM should.

What is your opinion of the Saints ability to draft cornerbacks?

Sign Brock off the street (discounted & accept his probable 4 game suspension) and draft another CB at 32/42.

But if you follow the Pats, that's their m.o. We all know it's adumb deal, but when have you ever known the Pats to be on the short end of the stick of a trade? Cooks is by far better than any receiver being drafted in the 1st round this year.

And look what we got for him?

What's your opinion of the Saints ability to cherry pick a CB from a super bowl champ?

No chance of the Saints being interested in QB Jimmy Garoppolo?

And then throw in Bill Bellichek and I wouldn't touch thus deal with a ten foot pole.

Bill doesn't just dump a stud CB without an ulterior motive, something seems fishy.
