They knew about ingram being out 4 games but weren't going to spend any resources because it was only 4 games.
Not going to put the same amount of money or time in it

This is spot on. It will also take away from AK if Murray is not at least as effective as Ingram in the passing game. Especially as a pass blocker/blitz pick up back. I checked out his career stats in the passing game and considering the types of offenses he's been in, the numbers aren't that bad. I'm sure he understands he will be asked to do more than he's ever done in any of the previous offenses with less touches.

There have been a lot of naysayers on this pickup, but this guy can flourish in the Saints system. Bless MI, but a lot of folks gonna forget him by mid season imo. This is a step up imo.
