Darnell Greene Jr., the alleged victim in Alvin Kamara's battery case in Las Vegas on the eve of the Pro Bowl, filed a civil suit against Kamara today in Orleans Parish civil district court via attorney Tony Buzbee in Texas and John Munoz in Louisiana. He requests a jury trial.
quote:
The lawsuit alleges Greene suffered severe injuries to his neck, back, head, shoulder, knees, and face, including a "disfiguring facial fracture to his right orbital bone, blunt force trauma to his head, multiple disc protrusions, and structural tears in his shoulder."
quote:
He is asking for more than $10 million: $5 million in actual damages for pecuniary losses, pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical expenses and $5 million in exemplary damages

I know a lawyer in the same building.

Hopefully you’d have spelled “Louisiana” correctly

We should text this to Kamara's employer.

It is interesting that they filed it here rather than in Nevada. CDC can be a very generous jurisdiction, but I don't know about that with a hometown hero as the defendant. The plaintiff gave Kamara home field advantage.

Considering they have video of the man being jumped and damn near beaten to death, the guy needs to be paid a lot. And if Kamara weren’t privileged, the thug would serve time. Don’t care if he plays for the Saints. If he played for any other team all of you would say the same.

I know orleans parish is a great Plaintiff’s venue but I think the jury would be a little sympathetic to the star saints player. That’s kind of head scratching.

kamara would go out of bounds before he ever makes it to the stand.

And not asked for punitive damages in Louisiana where none are allowed for this type of action.
