Saints going best WR available at #8

Styles and Ellis would be an incredible pairing as Ellis can do a lot of edge work and Styles can play as a 3rd safety. Would provide an incredible amount of versatility and permit us to run those 2 and Stuntsman our basically every play. I wouldn't rule out Styles if he's there at 8

Demario role filled but better in coverage and even more of a freak rushing the passer.

Fair statement, he was an effective 3-down LB. Hope the current group is fast enough to meet their coverage assignments.

Yeah I don’t think it rules out Styles either. The Saints goal will continue to be to fill holes and just get the highest level player in the first.

I know pickings are slim but I can’t imagine a world where they don’t sign a vet WR, a DB, and a pass rusher.

There are still plenty guys out there including some possible bargains.

It may likely end up being a bargain basement pass rusher this year unless for some reason we decided to insanely bring back Hendrickson.

We have our 2 starters and only need a rotational guy to add to them, and even the sub 10 sack guys are getting $30 mil this year.

I do think we definitely address CB, and very likely WR unless they truly are as confident as they act about who we have. I think that's a bit of fluff but you never know what a team really thinks.

Yiadom was absolute trash when he was starting and was benched for Riley (who definitely had some rookie growing pains but was vastly superior to Yiadom).

Sure but he’s still a forgotten roster spot

Washington will take him right in front of us as they just got their edge in Chaisson.

Give Cleveland our third, they give us their 5th and move ahead of them to select him

I know this should be in the "draft a WR" thread, but if Styles is gone I imagine our shot at Love is alive and I'd draft Love to play him a lot at WR and as backup RB over drafting Tate at 8. Like the Bijan stuff they've done the past couple of years in ATL

I mean as an emergency 5th corner, sure. He's cheap enough to stay. We still need 2 more corners better than him, at least 1 being a starter for the outside or nickel.

CB is a high level need that no one seems to be talking about

We obviously can't go into the year with just Kool Aid and Riley

Been saying this too. And Delane might be sitting right there for the taking at 8

Literally the highest need, as everywhere else we have at least a starter level player except at nickel, or outside if Kool-Aid or Riley kicks in.

Ike Yiadom. He played well on the boundary a couple years ago when Marshon was hurt

He started last year, played like complete trash, and was benched as a starter after 1 1/2 games, and benched as a backup after 4.

Whatever he was when he left was not what he is now. He is done.
