Finally a good signing. Still young at 28, not tied too him for too long. Louisiana guy to boot AND he had a good PFF grade for all the PFF nerds out there.

Surprised you can get such good safeties for so cheap. I remember last year there were so many that were very good that signed for so little (outside of Bates)

I can confirm he is good. Great signing. Nice to see him get paid again.

The way the contracts are, we seem to have everything on largely a 2 year window at the moment, with a big possible reset after 2026 (which also aligns with Carr's potential last year).

In the nfl almost all 5 year deals are really 4, 4 years really 3, and 3 years really 2 (with some 2 years being really 1). Johnson and Reid signing 3 year deals puts them right in line with the 2026 window.

Nah Reid wants to come home. He could’ve made more money somewhere else.

Bizarre he got the same money as Juwan Johnson

He may have taken a little less to be close to home?

Safeties have been slightly devalued since some of those big contracts getting handed out occurred. Corners reigning supreme on the bigger contracts as of current.

One thing for certain is that the nfl will keep stacking hybrid defenders at lb/safety, and j Reid is a good one!

I am happy to see to signings that will help our shitty run defense, Godchaux and Reid.

Interesting that none of the "blow it up and try to lose" crowd are posting on this thread.

Take that pick out the top of the draft. Good grab.

signing good younger players on good deals is very divisive

Almost giving those darn Loomis deniers exactly what they want!

After the JJ signing it's clear the strategy is the usual madness. Since that occurred before this signing, a rational and intelligent person would understand why the same comments didn't occur again.

We're all in to spend like we are a contender and kick can, and we're almost all out of can.

Def checks a box although we could still draft one of these safeties.

He could have. He’s wants to come home. I guarantee honey badger has something to do with this. The ties are deep. Tyrann played with his brother Eric at lsu. Tyrann and Justin played in Houston and KC together. Face painters will give credit to Loomis
