We need justin Jefferson because he is more consistent and faster and physical and catches every ball that comes his way and can get deep

I've forwarded this thread to Ireland and Loomis. Hoping they see it before the draft.

I hate responses like this on message boards. OP gave his opinion on a public message board. It is a legitimate thread. Saints need a 2 badly and Jefferson fits the type we looking for. Will Jefferson be talked about alot before the draft on here...yes. If you dont like the topic, simply dont respond. Being a dick gets you nowhere.

It would be awesome but with so many good wide receivers on the board they can probably wait until the second round

Great Idea, here's the Saints 2020 draft board:

Joe Burrow. No. 1 quarterback and No. ...
Lloyd Cushenberry. No. 3 center and No. ...
Clyde Edwards-Helaire. No. 6 running back and No. ...
Justin Jefferson. No. 7 wide receiver and No. ...
Saahdiq Charles. No. 22 offensive tackle and No. ...
K'Lavon Chaisson. No. 4 edge rusher and No. ...
Jacob Phillips. No. 9 linebacker and No. ...
Patrick Queen. No.

It seems like this is always said ...we can wait for this or we can wait for that because its a deep draft, yet we end up with a roster full of austin carr, deonte harris, trequan smith, brandon coleman, lil jordan Humphreys type of players. I hate waiting, if we need receivers behind Mike thomas which we have needed badly for a few seasons now. You have to reach out and get the elite talent in the draft. Dont wait to try and find some diamond in the rough because we will end up with just thomas catching 200 balls next year.

Agree. Wait on something else. Wr should be priority#1 . Get the best one left in the first round IMO.

Tend to agree, but doubt he will still be on the board for us. Lot of WR talent in this draft, so use the #1 someplace else.

This is actually reasonable, and there is a decent chance he’ll still be available. Most mocks have him going in the #20-25 range after CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, and Henry Ruggs. I think he’d be a great fit for our system.

I disagree, for the same reason I always disagree with this post.

1) we need an OT/OG more than a WR. Unless you want to be the Cleveland Browns.
2) we need a quick and shifty WR like a Tyreek Hill or Calvin Ridley. We already have MT13, we need his compliment who can catch something underneath and break it long.
3) this is a deep WR draft class and we have limited picks. We can draft a WR with our second pick.

I’d rather have Jalen Reagor, K.J. Hamler, Jeff Thomas or Darrell Mooney. Maybe K.J. Hill depending on what he looks like at the combine.

Really, it’s too early to have these discussions before the combine happens.

We are gonna be the browns soon as Drew says he's done and they give the reigns to taysom

This is an issue of the saints not addressing the need. This has nothing to do with the depth of talent at the position

This is the deepest WR draft ever based on guys ranked in the top 100 players

I don’t have a problem with the pick. I’m just not sure where it will fall and who will be available.

Saints currently are without a 2nd Ed pick. If I’m not mistaken.
