As of the last 4 weeks I've seen this team regress back to the mean. When juxtaposed against Bears, Eagles, Seahawks, we have not played nearly as well as these teams have heading into the postseason.

We can still win it all, sure, but my confidence since Dallas game, along with the damn injuries on Offensive Line and Tra Quan Smith regressing with the receiving Corp Sans Thomas and Ginn (if he stays healthy) is non productive. Tight Ends also.

Defense will have to carry this team along with Brees playing out of his mind.

And I hope it does happen. But teams that are hot going into the postseason are historically winners/victorious in the end.

Prove me wrong.

Bears recently lost to the Giants on the road.

Seahawks recently lost to the 49ers on the road.

Eagles lost to the Saints by 41 on the road. Not recent, but game against us.

All teams will have to play on the road.

This same thread was made after the final week in 2009.

Just FYI

Look... this team does not really look and feel like the team that crushed the Eagles 48-7. However, they showed up in a big way against Pittsburgh at home when they needed to and i'm confident they will show up in the playoffs, as well. I'm not really concerned and I sure as hell am not concerned due to the outcome of today's game. It was meaningless and the players treated it as such.

The extra week of rest and playing at home will do wonders for this team in the postseason.

This is just not true at all.

-Chicago squeaked by San Francisco just last week, lost to the Giants a few weeks ago, and haven't scored 30 points in a game since week 9. Their defense is elite, but they're winning games scoring 14 and 15 points.

-Seattle just lost to San Francisco, and as I type this is gonna squeak by Arizona in the final minute.

-Philly has been playing well, but by no means have been dominating their opponents. Their secondary is still beat the hell up, and they may have a hurt Foles now.

If anything they've all played comparable to the Saints. Pulling off tough wins at the end of a tough season.

Your perception is bias because you want and expect the Saints to dominate like they did for a short period, which is unrealistic, and you just watched us lose a meaningless game while all of these other teams played their arse off because they had to. No team out there is playing unbeatable football.

I hope hall are right. No kidding.

Just alarmed at the O-Line play lately.

My hope is that we have a fully healthy O-Line in two weeks ready to roll.

I expect to make it to the Super Bowl because we are playing at home, but not nearly as confident as I was earlier.

We have as good a shot (better at home) than anyone else.

I'm all in.

In 2006 on this very board when the “hot” eagles were coming to the dome someone posted an article breaking down teams w/l in the playoffs when going in on a win streak. It proved you very wrong

This is a dumb post after a meaningless game where the greatest Saint ever was inactive, and you should be ashamed
