They do implicitly. The ratios aren't exactly like saying a person makes 10 times more than you so they value something 10 times less, but coming up with some exactly quantified relational value was never the point anyway. We don't need to get income and supply curves brought into this to make the point that someone wealthy losing $100k can be insignificant compared to the rest of what he has.

I used to wonder "how do some of these players make millions upon millions, yet have nothing to show for it two to five years after the league."
Julio bound to be king of the soup kitchen.

It's spending habits like this causes so many X-NFLers to end up broke soon after their playing days are over.

Yep that's exactly what I was thinking, and they wonder how they go bankrupt... spending that kind of money on jewelry is just nauseating, what a waste. If I lose a $7 bait fishin, I get pissed, LOL.

4. It's sad that people actually spend money on such frivolous shite. It's his money and he's free to do whatever, but that automatically says "moron" to me.
yeah i'd rather have that money working for me in an investment or spend it on a car if it was spending money instead of useless crap.

Maybe they can try and find that 25 point lead while they are down there looking.

If you view it in perspective his 100k earring is the equivalent of someone making 50k/yr losing a $335 item. It would upset you but hardly be reason to lose your cool
Yeah, except the guy making $50k will make money for the next 40 years. Julio Jones has an 8-10 year window to make money. There's a reason why 70% of professional athletes declare bankruptcy within five years of retiring. Because they do stupid shite like buy a $100,000 earring.
