Joe Horn to be inducted into La Sports HOF in 2026

The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame is a massive boondoggle.
It gets $250,000 a year from the State of Louisiana which also pays Ronnie Rantz a $85,000 annual salary + benefits to be the "CEO" of it.
Then it appears they funnel another $550k to other "vendors" for a banquet they do one weekend a year and charge $100 per person to attend.
Also, LOL @ them inducting Mike McConathy who was the Basketball Coach at Northwestern State that had a career 330–377 record.

The whole HOF is a massive grift.
They feel like they need to annually induct a Saint that is available that weekend to attend in person to make the Grift look more proper and keep it relevant.

I attended the event this past June, including the weekend cocktail parties. I thought it was first class all the way.
Regarding Joe Horn and Roaf’s wife, Roaf thought it was Horn but Horn denied it. I heard that Roaf was chasing Horn but couldn’t catch him.
This is a well deserved honor for Horn. I suggest that his picture be of him standing in the end zone with his cell phone.

I dunno. Natchitoches and the surrounding area is a very nice place to visit for a weekend. Historic, picturesque and some good fishing nearby. As far as the HOF itself, it seems to be a well-run operation. You can always argue about the inductees of any “hall of fame”…
