Yes he had to deal with a ton of injuries this year but he doesn’t have the track record to just give him a pass and say he would have fielded an elite D.
So you’re stuck focusing on the nice things people he’s worked for said about him in articles written to prop him up.
I don’t know if he’ll be great or terrible but for the current state of our franchise, I think he’s a bad fit
