Who gaf? It isn't like Brees can effectively go deep anymore anyway. Even more reason to draft him.

He is a perfect fit for drew. 6'3 205 pounds and runs a 4.43. Nice fit to go along side mike.

I would love to have a 2nd rounder this year. But getting Eric McCoy last year was well worth it.

We could get a WR in the 3rd but it’s risky. You just know eventually a run is going to start and they will be flying off the board. We really need OL too. OL or WR at 24 and I’d be satisfied.

Can’t wait to see how free agency goes. Maybe we sign a veteran OL or WR?

All LSU fanboyness aside I'd be freaking thrilled to get him at 24. I don't know much about the Colorado receiver Shenault although I see him mocked to us a lot. I would assume jeudy and lamb are outta this picture for us so my next choices would be Jefferson then tee Higgins.

He's the same speed as Jeudy for all intents and purposes. 4.44 and 4.45. It would be hard to tell who won if they were racing. 40 speed has little to do with getting open deep either. If you can run a great route you just have to be fast enough. Anything under 4.6 is fast enough

You know just like everyone else that watched LSU this season, that Jefferson was just as dominant on his long routes as he was with his shorter routes. The only reason he stayed in the slot more than the previous season, was because each guy had their role to play. The coaches knew Jefferson’s speed, they also knew that he played the slot role better than anyone else on the team. He has better hands than Lamb and Jeudy (at least this season). His route running is probably only 2nd to Jeudy in this draft as well. Jefferson also times better than both.

Actually, you're wrong. Of his 111 receptions, only 8 were 20+ air yards last year.

So, lets get this straight

Jefferson had 8 receptions and 6 tds on passes 20+ yards in the air last season

That makes him a possession receiver and proves it in your mind

Jeudy had 7 receptions for 4 tds on passes 20+ yards in the air last season

That proves he can take the top off..............

Just admit you are making up shite and didnt know how to respond when Jefferson actually ran faster than Jeudy

Who cares if he’s a possession or deep threat? Right now outside of MT we have a bunch of no threats

There's a good chance he'll be there b/c there's a good number of DL that will be drafted, and this is a deep DL class.

3 qb's
2-3 cb's
1 whatever Simmons is
4-6 DL if you count the rush guys at least
3 WR like Lamb, 2 from Bama
OL: 4-5 once people start drafting them they start flying off the board.

He'll be hanging around 20-24.

I'm curious why people are using "possession receiver" as though it's a bad thing.

Jefferson showed he CAN be that guy, just like Mike Thomas- the guy who catches a 10 yd pass over the middle on 3rd and 9. Constantly. He spent the last season showing if it comes his way he can catch it.

That's a great trait to have for any WR. He just so happens to have 4.4 speed, so if you DO want to go deep, you can still look at him.
That means you can't just play him sitting off 5 yds, as he can maul you over the middle... and you can't come up and press him, or he can beat you deep.

Why is this bad?
