I hope this doesn't happen for Jayden's sake. He's one of my favorite players and we would waste him

The problem is they’d have to give up multiple picks over 2 drafts. They wouldn’t be able to build around him or any QB

Smokescreen to make the Falcons panic and give up the farm to get him.

I like him a lot but we don't have a chance of going up and get him. If we feel like the Falcons are doing it, make them overpay as much as possible.

Way more. Mahomes’ stock didn’t start rising until he started getting some private workouts with teams and the report came out that CSP worked him out.

A lot of pundits were down on him because of the air raid and the fact he didn’t work as well inside the pocket as outside it. But it was mostly the air raid thing. Sooo many QBs have put up big numbers under the air raid but sucked in the league.

They’d never take that. Maybe if we were pick 6-8th they would.

Daniels is a 5 year college starter already 23. It would be a colossal waste to sit him. He will start game 1 next year

The same Daniels that took 4 years to figure out how to play major college football before breaking out is going to be a Day 1 starter? That Daniels?

I think Daniels should sit as well. But that's today. His running style seems like it will get him injured. He also needs to work the pocket longer and go through more reads. I don't remember a lot of screen plays. But he has his own speed of learning and we don't know what kind of offense he is going to. He can come here I wouldn't mind!

this is false and stupid he started 5 years. Anthony Richardson had far less experience and he started game 1 and was playing pretty well in a limited sample size.

Or pass up the legit guys and get a DE/DL "with huge potential" from a lower college like UTEP or Weber State that will be injured his first year and get lost in the rotation.

You're right...I guess we're going with the Brad Johnson / Trent Dilfer type of winning but we don't have a defense to match those Bucs and Ravens teams.

So basically, we're stuck...that sucks. I hope Kubiak has a few rabbits hiding somewhere

the valid discussion is arguing whether to draft jj mccarthy if he doesn't get drafted inbetween 7-13.

This is actually a good point. Most on boards like will shite on McCarthy because he doesn’t have eye popping stats. But he’s a 3 year starter (or 2.5) has the physical tools and is only 21.

Give up 3 firsts to draft a guy that would be there at our original pick? Yep, sounds like the Saints….

"figuring it out" for a college QB is having one of the GOAT seasons, apparently.

Burrow "figuring it out" in his 5th year really slowed him down early on in the NFL.

If we didn't have the Carr contract issue, I'd be all for rolling the dice on JJ at 14. Had we not restructured Carr, the situation would be perfect (sit for Carr's 2nd, possibly 3rd year and then Carr is gone).

I know you know JD5 was way better in 22 than rantards give him credit for anyway but goood point about Burrow who only started 2 years and no one questioned him starting day 1.

I agree I think they are 2 drafts away from being in a position to draft a QB.

Ridiculous. If a talented QB drops Saints are taking him. Our draft strategy alone bpa would dictate that.

Agreed. I think Jayden should go no 1.
