They seem to really like McCarron.

I mean, they just went 0-16. They are getting better but they are desperate enough to send out picks for Landry only to ink him to a huge deal

Smart teams would know you could replicate his production at way less of a cost

The Browns could have Landry, Josh Gordon, Barkley, a decent TE, Isaiah Crowell, Baker Mayfield (or whatever other QB with the 4th pick) and a solid OL BUT still find a way to frick it.

Not far off from making the playoffs???? What was their record again? If it were stock, everyone would be buying because it has nowhere to go but up and the browns will be around for a long time.

The #Browns assume the $16M, one-year contract for Jarvis Landry, and the two sides have not included a long-term extension as part of this deal. They will likely talk, but Landry could also simply play on the 1-year deal, see how Todd Haley uses him, and cash in next offseason

I hope the Browns didn't pay too much in draft capital...

If they are giving up 2 picks, and one is at least a 2nd, with no long term deal in place that is truly a Brown's thing to do.

I'd rather play at Miami but he had no choice when he signed the tender.

The #Browns quickly emerged as the favorite for WR Jarvis Landry. Now they trade for him in exchange for a pick in 2018 and a pick in 2019. Huge move.

Didn't see that one (skimmed mostly).

Still not very smart to toss two picks for a one year rental, and on the other side it looks like the Dolphins maybe settled for less just to toss the contract before FA.

Edit:
I don't see that quoted in this thread either so probably why I didn't know.

Looking at what picks they could have given up and, holy shite, I didn't realize the Browns have 12 draft picks. With those picks and their current salary cap, you would have to have a terrible front office to be bad next year

They've had a bunch of picks and cap the last 3 years or so iirc. And they continue to frick it up. They are truly the Browns of the NFL.

people who think the Browns were terrible haven't been watching. They're not that far off from making the playoffs if they can get a QB either in the draft or FA, take Baarkley and add some defense in the draft. If it was a stock I would be buying the Browns

You serious?
