Well with all due respect, another knock on him is that he's pretty stupid. Like...not smart. That should also weigh highly in your judgment.

With all due respect, ive always heard the opposite. For what its worth his worderlic score is 1 point below Peyton Mannings.

A quick google search has quite a few articles on Winston and his dedication to studying playbooks and coaches raving about his intelligence.

Im not saying its the end all.. But people painting him to be an idiot are just flat out wrong. At least in regards to football.

I could see Book winning the #3 spot, especially if Jameis winds up being the starter. Book could fill Taysom's gadget role someday and if Taysom doesn't win the starting job, you'd have to assume he's going to start to look for a place where he can be the guy.

Nah, I just know that Taysom adds more value playing TE/WR, and special teams, than he does at QB. Plenty of others see that as well.

Quarterback is the most valuable position on the field. If Taysom is the best QB on our roster (he is), then he needs to start at QB.

More like hid Jameis, because he was on a one year contract, and didn't want the same scenario that occurred with Teddy to happen.

You didn't hear? Jameis is good now. Try not to remember that the year after he left, his team won the fricking super bowl. But we have him now so he's now good. All he needed was SP.

They did add other key contributors after he left. He was also replaced by Tom fricking Brady. You’re acting like he got replaced by Kirk Cousins and they won the SB.

You say this like Kirk Cousins isn't five times the QB Jameis Winston is by every objective metric.

That sounded better in your head.

Kirk Cousins isn’t Tom Brady which is the point. They replace a QB with another many consider to be the GOAT in Brady and he expected that to be gotcha.

Saying 5x the QB is stupid as well. Kirk has been an above average starter the last few years despite having one of the best offensive supporting casts in the league. And that’s not even factoring his failure at being a clutch player. He’s been better but not “5 times better”.

I don't know, not even counting his best season ever from last year, but just from 2015-2019 he beat Jameis in completion percentage and touchdown percentage while throwing 36 less picks than Jameis but playing in 7 more games. Weird.

simple google search

quote:

Having scored a 27, Jameis Winston was a point below Peyton Manning, both Russell Wilson of Seattle Seahawks, and Drew Brees of New Orleans Saints who scored 28. It places him at par with Joe Flacco of Baltimore Ravens and two pints ahead of Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers who got a 25.

According to multiple reports, Winston graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA, juggling multiple honor’s courses, and being one of the most highly recruited athletes in his class- in 2 sports.

"I've never seen anything like that guy. I'm not even talking about his talent," former Hueytown High coach Matt Scott said. "There's a lot of people that can throw the ball. What people don't understand is the difference with him. His football IQ is through the roof. If they had some kind of scientific study for it they'd have to do a special on CNN. It's unbelievable."

And to anyone who believes that football is simply a game of X’s and O’s that anybody down the street can understand, then I suggest you walk into Jeff Long’s office and apply for a head coaching position with the Arkansas Razorbacks because there’s a $3 million annual salary waiting for you.

And Winston understood it all- in high school.

However, even before coming to Tallahassee, Winston was racking up plenty of awards and achievements in high school and as a kid. Winston posted multiple videos of his "Boom Boom Room," the room he grew up in, that's littered with jerseys, awards and ribbons.

Not all of the awards were for athletic accomplishments. Winston posted another video to show off all of his academic awards, going on to mention that he currently has a 3.4 GPA at Florida State.

So where do you get this idea that Winston is stupid I literally typed in "Jameis Winston is stupid" in google and only thing that came up where opinions of sports writers or trolls like you.
