Very interesting that this video came out weeks before the draft for the Saints to have chosen both Haener and Miller. I think he absolutely nails it in his evaluation and if they both pan out this is a big feather in the cap of the Saints staff.

I think we have 4 possible steals...
RB Kendre Miller
OG Nick Saldiveri
QB Jake Haener
WR A.T. Perry
I guess Foskey as well, but these 4 were taken much later.

It would have been tempting to draft flashy players but I think they staged a very thoughtful disciplined draft and those are the ones that pay off long term.

I think to be considered a steal, a player would have to be drafted later than most projections or be a late rounder that turns into a star. Hard for an early second round pick drafted higher than most projections to ever be considered a steal.

Fun fact: Joel Klatt was once a New Orleans Saint...briefly...as a mini-camp arm in Payton's first year.

Super glad to see a Jake Haener post get upvoted 12x when I was talking about this dude last season and getting downvoted to oblivion by the Jameis/Carr/Hooker crowd all off season.
