“Oh can the saints beat the bucs and Tom Brady three times in one year”. That is such a lazy and weak narrative. Did you know that actually the team that swept there opponent in the playoffs during the regular season is 9-3 in those playoff matchups. So if you want to even make it a narrative it favors the Saints. Don’t overthink it. The Saints matchup well with the Bucs. Saints 34 Bucs 20

The talking heads were blabbering about Brady never being beaten three times by a division foe... Funny how they never bring up this was the first time he was beaten twice in his career by a division foe via Brees and company.

Those idiots just bring up what they want you to hear... That's part of the narrative...

We did it to the panthers a few years ago and I’m confident we’ll do it again to the bucs

As long as the refs don't step in to help out the Brady's.. I think a good measuring stick is how the refs behave for the Pack/Rams game.. If they throw a bunch of flags on the Rams.. We be effed...

Yes.

If it were true, the Bucs would be 7-10 point favorites.

There's no logic to it. They are essentially saying that the Saints would have a better chance if we had lost one of those games.

This. It's an illogical argument and also debunked by actual history and statistics.

20+ years ago someone came up with that idea and people have run with it since, regardless of value.

I think we were the last to do it and nobody has brought that up yet.

If we play like they are capable, the saints should win by 2 scores. I think the saints are just better

I’ve heard this stat as well as the 9-3 record vs teams that were 2-0 in the regular season. stat thrown around constantly every time the Saints & Bucs were talked or written about. Not sure how anyone wld miss them that many times & believe it was never brought up?

Has anyone gone 7-0 against division opponents since the 2002 realignment?
