2nd and 3rd rd picks are definite busts and Breese looks mid as well.

I didn't watch too many players. I thought Saints have no depth. I hope they are very aggressive during team cuts.

I can’t argue there. Perry looks like a keeper, and Haener might develop one day. I don’t see any other impact starters in this class.

They need to be, any OL go down and it’s over.

So just looking Brian Branch at safety would have been a good choice

So instead of drafting a DE with good production and limited athleticism, you'd prefer a S with good production and limited athleticism? I think Foskey has a better chance to contribute snaps this year, where Branch likely wouldn't see the field much over Mathieu and Maye.

He was projected as a potential slot guy pre draft, which would help us immediately, but his agility numbers at the combine suggest he'd be better off playing S to compensate for his lack of speed and change of direction. I'm surprised he even ran the 40 and shuttle at the combine if he knew those were his expected numbers.

Agreed. I did not see the effort by Foskey. Looks like the undrafted linebacker from Vandy could be a player.

Can he play more than one preseason game before calling him a bust?!?! I mean we haven’t even started the season yet.

We will see. Branch was a first rounder just based on his tape. His workout numbers are what dropped him to the second round. I think at worse you are getting a CGJ clone to play the slot. A position that was sorely needed last year. And someone that can take over one of the safety spots next year.

It’s more likely that Fosky will be taking Turners spot as the DNP coaches decision this year.

Lol y’all are out of control. He’s a fricking rookie in the first preseason game.

Yea but they wasted a 2nd round pick on him and he hasn't even made one pro bowl yet.

What a waste.

I didn't focus on him but a few plays. I did notice him hesitating off the ball, not bursting and waiting to read too much before reacting leading him to getting beat. I did notice him once where he did squeezing down the line.

I'd imagine all players, and especially the rookies will improve from WK1in their first live NFL action to WK2 just by knowing a little more of what to expect and having tasted the speed and power of the game.

The only negative from the starters was Granderson and Turner.

I did not focus on Granderson but I did pay attention to Turner on a bunch of his plays. He got pressure several times. What I did see was effort and him trying different moves too. I saw bull rush, speed on the edge, spin and swim moves. I saw him get a bit stonewalled on one play but I never saw him get bullied. #progress. Looking forward to watching him more these next 2 games.

I still wouldn't be mad a another vet DE signing though

Same here. I thought Turner did ok for his first game back. I never spotted Grandersons play. But hey its hard to spot guys when Joe Biden is trying to call out the names

How? This entire thread is about our 2nd rd pick being a bust. All I did was agree and also add that Miller is a bust. Which again, nobody on this board actually wanted on draft night over other available rb’s.

Breese was playing against 4th string o line and he didn’t pop once.
