Yeah, a good running back who's been in the league and is good for screens and swings gets more yards than a rookie power back. Jesus Christ, do you people think before you post or is it just an spur of the moment thing?

After 2 games Thomas has looked better than the rookie. However, Ingram is much more than hype. He has been very consistent at getting yards after contact and hitting the holes when they are there. I think part of the problem is when Ingram is in the chances of the play being a run go up and the defenses know that.

There is also no question that PT Is much more comfortable with the system than Ingram. It's his 2nd regular season game. It is fans like you that annoy me.

I think Thomas is doing better than Ingram at this point.

-More experience
-Longer in the system
-Hell of a good runner
-Best Screen RB on the team

But, Ingram is a Rookie, and I love having him here.
I think he'll be great.

Yeah he's better. He was better his rookie year than Ingram has been so far. But its still early. Runningbacks don't usually have a big learning curve in the NFL....but honestly, Ingram hasn't had alot of room to run. Like i've been saying for awhile, our Oline is not good

I think Ingram is the kind of back who only gets stronger as the game goes on. PT is good for a one hit home run after sitting on the bench.

Almost need to give Ingram the bulk of carries and let him punish the defense. Bring in PT for the screen and situational runs.

But yes, a 5 year vet who has always been solid is better than a rookie with two games under his belt. SHOCK CITY!!!

Ingram has played 2 regular season professional games and is splitting carries with 2 VERY VERY VERY good veterans at his position....Did you expect him to have 300+ yards rushing thus far in this offense?

After watching Ingram play the last 2 years He doesn't have the extra burst he showed in his hiesman year. Hasn't had it since his knee injury at the beginning of last year at bama.

Agree. Overrated and overhyped. Can't even get a yard when we need him to.

The way I see it, when he is in the game, it is almost a given at this point to the defense that we are running and he is getting the ball. With Thomas in the game, Payton runs screens, etc. with Thomas so it is not obvious whether we are running or passing.

That is part of the problem with Ingram's slow start. Ingram is not a bad receiver at all. If we start throwing some screens to him as well, the defense won't be able to key on what we are doing; thus opening up some running lanes for Ingram.

Game on the line as of Week 2... I'd go with Thomas at this point. He has the experience, etc.

But, Ingram is going to get better and better as each week goes by. I like that his workload is seemingly going to gradually increase as the season goes on. Rookie RB with high workloads usually hit the "rookie wall" around Week 12 or so. Ingram will hopefully be able to avoid that with how we are using him early in the season.

Sometimes this board can be as fricking idiotic as the Rant. And that's saying something.
