Carr only 2nd to Burrow in accuracy when not pressured. But below league average when under pressure (though over 60%).

Who isn't.

That's one of the more relevant stats. If Carr has a good line and protection, the Saints have a chance at winning a lot.

Wait! Are we saying that Carr (pocket passer) needs blocking to excell like all pocket passers in todays NFL needs?????????

Compelling and rich!

Carr can be a decent qb when he has help. He’s never going to be special and elevate average players. This has been proven over and over. It’s also been proven that this organization is not patient enough to build the roster a qb like him would need for sustained success.

I often wonder how Carr would do in Detroit with an awesome offensive line, stud WRs, two great RBs and a top notch offensive coordinator. He’s on the same level as Goff IMO.

We got Carr one head coach too late.

SP would have burned the league down again if Carr was DB's replacement.

Carr is what he is, this is his 11th season in the league with remarkably similar statistics as always

No sense in discussing what he could be "if”, we already know, he is good but never good enough

$150 mil QBs shouldn’t need a perfect, dream scenario to have success. I mean, he’s supposed to be the main key to success, he’s supposed to lift the team

There are some shitty QBs with better target % when pressured on that chart

We’ve already had this discussion. Carr is paid on the low end for a QB. That’s what they cost now.

You can have a guy like Mahomes, Burrow, Allen and Lamar, but not a great team because you pay them $250M+.

Or you can pay someone like a Cousins, Carr or Mayfield $100-$200M and try to surround them with great players.

Or you can take your shot at drafting a QB that ends up being either CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniels or Trey Lance, Sam Howell. Although if you hit on a QB in the draft, you will have to pay them $250M+ so be ready to lose the rest of your team like the Bengals lost their defense and RB this year.

IMO, Carr is playing in the wrong era of football. If you put him behind the O-Lines for typical pocket passers in the 2000s and 2010s, you would be talking about him like an Eli Manning type. The problem is he goes full retard when there is any interior push. O-Lines are not built the way they used to be built.

Another poster said it correctly. If we would have gotten him right after Brees, SP would have won Superbowls with this clown.

Of course he is, he throws more check-downs than anyone. Carr gets a lot of 'insignificant' completions. He consistently throws incredibly short of the 1st down marker, expecting players to seemingly make magic happen. The defenders are usually in position to immediately make the tackle but Carr throws it and then just walks off the field like "Welp, I completed the pass. Maybe next time they'll make a play for a 1st down". Carr isn't dynamic at all and is extremely average at his position. He can't make plays when needed.

My eyes have told me this. I’ve said before, he’s as good as any qb when he’s not under pressure. But he breaks like an egg when rushed.

Carr fricking sucks cock.

The people that can’t recognize the dude is not a winner are idiots.

If the Saints cut him today, he’d be a backup somewhere.

Time to turn the page.
