I’m here to defend Coach Moore! For Now

How can anyone look at this roster, especially the defense and think we are an above average team?
He found what I think is our future QB, which is hardest position to find. We all know that. All three levels of the defense is weak and wasn’t addressed in the offseason.
I think he needs one more offseason to address roster deficiencies.

We aren't.
He's supposed to be an offense guru. His play calling is absolutely atrocious. Give a toddler a coloring book and tell him to draw plays. That's Moore.
Anyone with eyes can see our line is trash but you have to call plays that can hide it's deficiencies. No play action. No TE posts. No screens. This is basic football and he doesn't do it.

The Dolphins are playing good football with a worse roster, a worse QB and a brand new head coach. Moore has shown 0 growth and you can tell his players have already tuned him out.

Simply not true

I just don’t think he’s forgotten how to call plays. He’s limited with what he has. That is a non existent running game and bad oline play.

He had a hand in roster construction.

To that I would say he needs more than 1.25 years.
When he took the job everybody thought we were 2-3 seasons away from putting a playoff team on the field and a few more to be true contenders. We finished last season on a high note, which set expectations high for this season. He was ahead of schedule until 3 weeks ago and this skid is frustrating all of us!

he is dealing with the same shitty Oline we have had the last few years. I'm not excusing Moore, I believe he does have some blame - but to make it seem like this Oline and RB core is something he built, is just false.
what I wanna know - is how the hell our Oline coach is still here.....cause holy frick, nothing has changed in the last 3 or 4 years

Seems like Banks (although needs to get better), Edwards, McCoy is something to work with. Ruiz and Fuaga is something that maybe we should move on from. No idea if Fuaga translates to guard better but he appears to suck arse as a tackle.

I agree that to fairly judge the roster makeup, he would need more time. However, with that said, 65.6% of the roster per pro football reference (including PUP & IR) was signed or extended under his watch. Looking at the makeup, AI spit out the following years for last contracts signed:
PFR has 52 players on the roster, 2 on PUP, 1 IRD, 9 on IR
2022 - 2 players
2023 - 10
2024 - 10
2025 - 16 - assuming all 16 players signed after Moore was signed
2026 - 26
For the active roster only, it is still 65.4%:
2022 - 2 players
2023 - 7
2024 - 9
2025 - 13
2026 - 21

agreed - we have a couple good guys, who get drug down because of Fuaga, and especially Ruiz.
Fuaga has at least had moments of being good, but he is hit or miss, Ruiz has just been miss - and how the frick we thought we could salvage him.....dear god at the mental gymnastics it took to convince themselves they could.
Moore absolutely deserves criticism - but to make it seem like he hand crafted this team, instead of inheriting the steaming pile he got, is unfair to Moore. he didn't put us in the spot we are in talent wise, he is just trying to get what he can out of what he has.
