Good season but man do I wanna make the playoffs. I feel that if we get there they may really buckle down and play.

I'll say success because it looks like coach is starting to learn from his mistakes. Also looks like we may have a run game to go with the pass. All we need is a little more D.

Definitely a success. Usually 10-6 gets you in the playoffs, and as said earlier, it got us the #2 seed in '06. It's a shame we let 4 of those games get away from us. But all things considered, with all the injuries we had, and a sub-par defensive scheme and roster, we could have done a lot worse than 10-6.

just sucks losing the way we did in 4 of the losses...if we pick up two 3rd & 1s....we are 9 & 4...and thats not even bringing the missed field goals into it. One defensive play and a couple field goals and we're 11-2 ....

but looking forward...Ending the season 10-6 would bring a 4 game winning streak into the offseason and hopefully get them in a winning mentality to start the 09 season. The Giants had no clue how good they were until the end of last season. It took a late run and a superbowl to figure it out. Now look at them.

that said...i'm not giving up on this season. There is still hope!!!! It starts with a W tonight!!

With the injuries this year, definitely a good year at 10-6.

10-6 means that we at least fought and clawed trying to make the playoffs. I'll call that progress, I don't know about success.

Today...at this moment...considering where we are, I'd say 10-6 would be pretty damn impressive. However, the goal is to make the playoffs, and I think this team believes it has the talent to be a legitimate playoff team....so missing the playoffs would be disappointing, and not a success.

10-6 would be a good season with all the crap we have been through, BUT it will also retain our DC.

Minus the injuries, a few bad calls, and some bad luck, we are 10-3 right now. I would see 10-6 as a success as well. For as many injuries we have had this season and just straight up bad luck (and shitty kicker early in the year), that is pretty good. We are literally a good FS and a new DC away from having a respectable defense, and a LT away from a decent OLine to go with our #1 offense...

+1

The injuries on the defensive side of the ball, plus the kicking game, really hurt them this year. I was very impressed with Porter, that was a huge loss IMO.

That said, if you had asked me at the beginning of the season if I would have been happy with a 10-6 season I would have certainly answered in the affirmative.

10 - 6 is a step up from 8-8, but I want to get back to the playoffs.

I would love to see this team at full strength with a new defensive coordinator who blitzes from time to time.

I think 10-6 is great. It would be nice to make the playoffs but if we can rally and get some momentum(even for next year) I think it would be a good season.
