and Drew retires, what does his legacy look like in ten years and beyond? Obviously, he's a first ballot HOFer. But with the extracurricular political stuff that has occurred this year and his marked drop in on the field production, is his legacy at all tarnished or will 2020 be forgotten when Brees' career is reflected upon in 2030?

Only extremists on either side truly care about Drew’s politics

Many QBs deal with this at the end stage of their career. Saints have been so close to 2nd Super Bowl recently and he came back to try to crack the NFC Champ. and another chance at Super Bowl.

No. He has set NFL records and holds every franchise record there is. Be thankful for his time here. Saints were just as likely to be the Browns before he and Payton arrived.

His career will be viewed similar to other QBs who won one SB like Favre, Young, etc.

An all time great. No one, outside of hard core rightwingers gives a shite about his politics.

Everyone outside of Saints “fans” has already moved on from the political stuff.

Jim Kelly with a ring. King of the stats, but clear cut #3 in the age of golden QBs

With all the great teams he’s had only have 1 ring is a disappointment

he will be remembered as a better then average QB who was a one year wonder who spent his entire career mostly chasing statistical records rather then winning SBs

It’s already been destroyed. He will forever be biggest victim on the BLM era. And he let it happen. Can’t be too sorry for him.

I don't care about DB's personal life or his personal sports accomplishments, I really really don't care.

Brees was wasted in New Orleans. Should have been a multiple champion. He made trash WRs looked good in his prime but it's evident he can't anymore. I blame Payton for this. Never could field a competent defense to back him and always tried to compensate by bringing in the sexy free agent that never panned out. Always had to over come bad defensive play only to have victory snatched at the end. Always outdueled by trash QBs because the defense was incompetent. Window closed in 2018 and the league made sure to close it. Brees should have saved face and retired in the offseason.
