A 27 yr old qb came into the league and was a HOF’er, so it has definitely happened.

Kurt Warner, sir.

This team isn’t in a position to do anything until it finds a QB. Sometimes you just have to take a chance.

The upside? Hooker turned TWENTY-FIVE years old today.

Brees played until he was 40, so has Rodgers. Brady is 45. Matt Ryan is 37 and not out yet. QBs are not getting blasted anymore (unless you're Tua). A lot of the younger guys will play until they either get tired of the game and have enough money, or their arms give out.

I’m not taking him in the 2nd, too early for my taste. His age, gimmick offense, had two really good receivers, the injury, lots of questions. 4th round, sure.

Then who would you have play Quarterback? Another year with Andy? I l used to
love Dalton’s play when he was in Cincinnati but he’s a top notch #2, not a guy to play all season. Daniel Jones was my choice for free agents but he’s skyrocketed his value now so he’s out.

Russell Wilson was 24-years-old as a rookie.

Age isn't a consideration at all when deciding to draft hooker or not. It's can he play in the nfl or not. No one knows this for sure, but I think he has a decent shot with the right OC.

No, sir. Warner was in training camp with the Packers in 1994 after college. He was cut, bounced around the Arena League and NFL Europe, and re-entered the league. He was not a 27 year old rookie.

Russell Wilson turned 24 years old halfway through his rookie season. This is not the same as someone getting drafted at 25 years old.

It absolutely is a consideration when you talk a 2nd round pick as the expense for someone who did nothing until he was 23 years old playing against guys a year removed from high school. He is the average age of AFC playoff starters in the league RIGHT NOW. He enrolled at VT the year Baker Mayfield won the Heisman 6 years ago.

It's the lack of upside linked to someone who relied on 2 extra years of play against much younger and physically immature competition to show out. Not so much the injuries that come with age.

Burrow was 22 when the season started and drafted at 23. You know about this cool thing called Google, right?

I think Hooker is better than Dak Prescott was in college. In the right situation for the right team he could be a solid draft pick to take a shot on.

Ever heard of a rhetorical question?

Point was burrow was older than almost all his draft companions. He was selected 1-1, and he was deserving despite being 2 years older

I would not take any quarterback that comes out of what essentially is an air raid type of offense. Why? Tim Couch, Jared Lorenzen, Josh Heupel, Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield, al of the Texas Tech quarterbacks. These guys fail in the NF.

All of the Texas Tech quarterbacks?
Cause I can think of one who may end up as the best NFL QB of all time when he’s finished.

Sorry but your age argument doesn’t hold up. If he can play, he can play. He’s put up 2 amazing years in the SEC and he’s got every intangible you look for in a QB. He’s worth a 2nd round pick.
