Why would a nearly 80 year old who inherited her wealth from her third husband less than 10 years ago give a frick about sports teams? Win, lose, it doesn’t matter. The money arrives either way.

Owning two pro teams keeps her in the spotlight. Selling them would make her irrelevant and no one would worship her any longer. Being owner protects her ego and sell worth.

She likely has zero interaction with day to day operations and enjoys being a socialite and getting direct deposits. She knows she has teams and they make money and make her famous and probably doesn't care much otherwise. At the end of the day this is all her shite to do whatever she wants with and it's our problem whether we support it or not.
