but how nice would it be to have a brand new badass stadium. I like the idea of the one in these images, but I dont know how I feel about an open stadium...

I've become extremely accustomed to not worrying about weather during games, I'd like to keep it that way.

I don't know if I would even go to games if we had a open aired stadium.

Too damn hot, I could just enjoy the comforts of home.

Yea.

We have enough on our plate these days.
And if you want less events here just get a open air stadium.

You do realize that these are concept drawings from 2 different proposals, don't you? The first pic was for a proposed new stadium in Algiers. The second was a proposal that would have been just north of the French Quarter, replacing the projects. These designs are from well before Katrina when the stadium was a major point of contention between the Saints and the city. There was also other concept art of a renovated Superdome with party suites in the corners of the 2nd level that would have looked like French Quarter balconies. I've been searching for years trying to find that concept art with no luck.

I don't think it's Algiers. I think it's supposed to be that area uptown of of the Crescent City Connection, on the eastbank, where they had tossed around the idea of putting the stadium. I had never heard of Algiers as a proposal.
