I keep hearing all this talk about Mickey and Gayle being loyal

They like DA and want to be loyal and give him another year. My thing is if Sean Payton would actually consider coming back to coach the Saints again and he no question is at least entertaining the thought because Jeff Duncan is very close to Payton so it’s coming directly from him. What about the loyalty with Sean Payton? If that man will come back how do you not make it happen? That will be a big decision on Loomis because all of the fanbase want DA fired. I’m sorry for Allen but he’s not Sean Payton. You go make it happen, give him a small ownership stake or something but if Loomis lets him walk away when he had a chance I don’t think the fans would ever forgive him. A QB will come to play for Sean Payton. Dennis Allen, not so much. It is such an easy decision but I feel like Mickey and Gayle are going to frick this up.

Boo hoo. The guy is wired different than most. He’s a very driven and hard working coach known to sleep at the facility a lot especially when he lived in Mandeville. He puts in insane hours and breathes football, that’s why he’s a hall of fame coach. But he also has a very strong personality that he wanted to try something different with a new young wife. I don’t think it will happen but if you can bring him back it is criminal not to make it happen. If you can’t get over him stepping away for a year in a time where his life is changing drastically on the personal side then you are just too much in your feelings. I would even offer DA the d coordinator job but of course he wouldn’t accept.

Sean not coming back to this dump city. Get a clue

if he left because his wife felt the area was too dangerous she will for sure not let him return NOW . Unless he gets her an armored personnel carrier to drive around New Orleans

He doesn’t have to live here. Most coaches live somewhere else in the off-season. Let her stay in Idaho or LA while Sean is working. She doesn’t have to come back to the city. I’m just saying if Duncan is reporting what he did it is because he’s talked to Sean himself. If there’s even a chance you wouldn’t take it?

What sucks is we lost our HOF coach and now we’re gonna lose one of the best d coordinators we have ever had once he’s fired bc he sucks as HC.
We had such a good thing going and it’s all fricked now.

No. He was shown the door after he looked into quiting on us with miami as the time line clearly shows chadwick.

I’m pretty sure that Sean is done here, but if he isn’t, I’d do anything it takes to get him back. I either want SP running this team or I’d want this entire staff shitcanned.

All I got to say is Gayle has no fricking clue about football

If Payton said he wanted to come back they would boot DA.
I don't Think anyone really believes otherwise.

You just babbled a bunch of nothing. He quit on us. Nothing about anything about what you are typing means anything. He wants nothing to do with us.

They are loyal to Payton and if he legitimately wants to come back I think that happens and I think DA gladly steps aside (but who knows).

what does that mean? you don't gladly step aside. Dennis Allen would make them fire him and pay him his remaining owed salary and then look for a fresh start elsewhere. All of this is pure fiction regardless.

Where are you getting that from?
Gayle basically begged him to come back.

It is speculation so certainly pure fiction. I probably stated it more glibly than I meant it to sound. I think DA does not feel things are going well and would probably take his old job back as DC under Payton with some compensation for stepping aside. But I could easily see him deciding now was the time to move on. His fresh start would be another DC job if he chose to go that route.
Who would you think would be a good replacement for him? Do we keep the dynamic duo of Ryan Nielsen and Kris Richard? Or is their success really just an extension of DA's hand steering the defense, much like many see the same having been true of Carmichael?

Dude, i'm not entertaining for one iota of a nano second the idea that Payton will really come back to new orleans and coach. Payton quit on us.

So why even jump in the conversation? Just tell the OP it's pointless speculation on his part to worry about whether Gayle and Mickey are loyal to Payton. I doubt Sean is considering coming back to NOLA either, I was just responding to the OP and you gave me shite about it.
Honestly, my concern about where loyalty to Payton is more about them not demanding a fair trade for him and "helping him out" when getting a new job. I truly hope that doesn't happen and if it does should signal the end of Loomis' tenure.
