These are guys that are top tier at their position, or young guys for the next core:
Chris Olave
Cesar Ruiz
Trevor Penning
Pete Werner
Kaden Elliss
Erik McCoy
Rashid Shaheed
Marshon Lattimore
Alontae Taylor
Juwan Johnson

Next group is guys you really want to keep around due to production, age, or price tag/investment, but you can make a case for cutting bait:
Demario Davis
Cam Jordan
Paulson Adebo
Bradley Roby
JT Gray
James Hurst
Alvin Kamara
Ryan Ramczyk
Taysom Hill
Payton Turner

The rest are fully expendable. I’m kind of cheating with JT Gray because he’s an elite special teams player, but almost no ST only player is untouchable besides maybe Justin Tucker. Ramczyk took a big step back this year and is already getting rest days during practice, I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires soon.

Cutting ram would be a bad move imo

I’m not advocating for cutting anyone, just that you can make a case for it

Elevate Kamara, Ram and Adebo, who only completed just his second year and I'll go with that. The rest can be traded or cut.

Kamara and Demario Davis are the two best players on the team and you don’t think they’re untouchable?

They are older and make a lot of money.

Move on too early rather than too late.

Well if your truly in a rebuild who really is out a reach with the right offer?

But you would like to keep good young contracts for good players especially on the lines and for CB's.

If we want to dump contracts get some picks and build for the future we have to let some great guys go.

So Ruiz is untouchable, but Ramczyk, Davis and Kamara are cuttable? Terrible take.

Adebo played really well last year. I think the loss of CJGJ, Williams, Jenkins and Lattimore (for most of the season) forced him to do a lot more than he was asked to do last year.

I don’t think that Kamara brings anything that any other cheaper RB can’t bring. He’s lost a step and I can’t remember the last time he broke off a long run.

Maybe because he's misused, running him up the middle 20+ times a game and getting 2 targets per game. Dumbest usage of a player ever.

Why would you cut hurst, ram, or demario?

You wouldn't.

And his name is james hurst. Alex hurst is a different o linemen.

I would Jordan to finish his career as a Saint. As long as Davis is playing well, I would keep him. I would renegotiate Hill's contract. Juwan Johnson isn't that good. You do not get rid of good corners; Adebo stays.

Ramczyk turns 29 in April and costs $19MM/year. And like I said, he’s been having rest days every Wednesday this season. Does that sound like a guy that will be around for the long haul? And he wasn’t the elite player he has been this year, he posted his lowest PFF grade of his career this year.

Davis turns 34 in a few days and you have 2 younger, cheaper players at LB in Werner and Elliss. Strictly a business decision.

Kamara turns 28 this summer and is also expensive.

Ruiz is 23 and had a breakout season this year. He was our best OL this year, imo.

I’m not stumping to cut anyone, but if you were to blow it up and rebuild, that’s how I’d tier players.

Holy crap, this thread is a treasure trove of bad takes.
