I actually blame the players, not the coaches for last night

Scheme shouldn't be an issue on Oline with mostly 1st round draft picks and a high paid G. Even our backup LT is a veteran. As far as defense, lots of successful DCs play that style and do it well. Staley has been successful for many years doing it. The players rolled over last night, Oline and defensively.
I'll take an optimistic view as we rolled over for the 10-year anniversary with SP and Brees in charge also. KM has run good offenses, these Olinemen have been successful for the most part before, but that was inexcusable. Defensively, having an average LB and average edge guy out shouldn't cause you to be embarrassed like that. The guys taking their places have been in the league long enough. Granderson wasn't going to all of a sudden stop the run last night, neither was Ellis, pathetic on the players.
I believe in Shough, our punter, Olave, Juwan, and Chase Young right now and that's about it.

Missing Elliss and Granderson didn’t help. Miller is also out. Really difficult to plug in lesser players and expect similar results. Our DBs also are not very good

Miller has played one NFL game in his entire career. Boyd and Godchaux and other guy who's name escapes me for good reason should be enough to at least be respectable.

Nahh man, that team was ready to party but forgot about the game.
Coaches need to have players dialed in and it was obvious that the Falcons were and we looked like a Monkey Fukin a Football for most of the game.
It was probably one of the most embarrassing games I’ve seen as a Saints fan especially considering the night around it.
Been a fan since 86’ so I’ve been to 9er Montana/Young beat downs and last night felt just as bad to me.
Coaches need to have players dialed in and it was obvious that the Falcons were and we looked like a Monkey Fukin a Football for most of the game.
It was probably one of the most embarrassing games I’ve seen as a Saints fan especially considering the night around it.

Taylor was our best cover guy last year. We tried to replace him with Sanker who is way worse in coverage and Blackmon is worse than Sanker at safety. So we’re significantly worse at two positions in the secondary

That's amazing. it's like yall didn't see the QB getting crushed and we kept going under center and play action when we couldn't run the ball.
what about that 3rd and 8 and a bubble screen to a TE to attempt a 52 yard FG?
what about being down by 3 scores and kicking a FG on 4th and 3?
what about having olave in when it's 45-17 and having him get hurt?
i'm not saying it's all on the coach. shite i blame mickey more than anyone but how someone can see us suck so bad the first half of every single game and not blame the coach is amazing to me

Screens are run when your Oline can’t pass block, kicker should have also made that kick

I dont know, the first quarter the corners were playing off the LOS 10 yards. Was my first game back in the Dome since the Rams BS and it was a rough one.
Seemed like some pretty bad planning coming into the game at least. LOS looks bad on both sides of the ball, not going to win many games like that. Considering the issues with the Oline the last few years, coaching certainly has to carry some of the blame.
