I just watched every pick he threw in that video(2019) and only about 5 or 6 werent his fault.

People keep wanting to blame arians offense for the picks but only a few of those picks were downfield.

I do think he can cut that number way down. Seems like that offense as a whole was done with jameis. Some of the receivers expected balls to be picked.

Payton will knock his interceptions way down but i don't think anyone knows which jameis we are going to get.

Bruce arians system isn’t good for a guy who has some accuracy and decision making issues. I think Payton will stress more of a game management attitude in Jameis relying on a good defense. I expect his int to be much less I’m hoping for something in the neighborhood of 30 td 15 in which is possible IMO.

We can play the low end and say only 10 of Winston’s career 88 INTs weren’t his fault, and his career INT% becomes league average. TD% same as guys like Dak and Matt Ryan

I know others have jumped onto this post but I’d also like to pile on and speak on how fricking dumb this logic is.

I realize he might not have the anticipation or short range accuracy of Brees but we should have a much improved offense with all the positives I listed above.

So by replacing Brees with Winston, the Saints offense will improve?

You are so full of stupid, it’s not even funny to laugh at you.

They were really good against the run.

People couldn't run on them.

You know people like you would never say shite like this in person. If you had any brains or reading comprehension you would understand what I’m saying. But I won’t waste another brain cell on you.

I think he'll implement a less aggressive offense that will limit the turnovers.

My question is whether Jamies can effectively execute that offense. Historically, if Jamies wasn't throwing it downfield, you were removing the one aspect of his game that made everything else worth it.

Honestly, I don't expect the Jameis experiment to work.

If anyone can make him a HOF’er, it’s Sean Fuggin Payton. I ain’t scared, bruh. To the contrary, I think we are gonna be damned scary. I love Drew for what he made the organization, but the front office and coaching are just as amazing. We gonna surprise a lotta folks. Rant over.

Don’t waste your energy on these guys. They seem to think a guy that won a Natty in college and was the 1st pick off the board in the NFL is garbage.
The reason Tampa got the 1st pick is because they sucked. So dude goes to a shite team to start his career. He has career stats comparable to all the best QB ever in his 1st 5 years even adding in the horrendously bad 2019 season.

Tampa gets a chance to snatch T.Brady so they dump Winston. We are very lucky to grab this very talented QB for a song and dance and are retarded fans shite all over him. When this dude lights things up in N.O. I’ll be here having a good time.
This is what we all should hope for.

They seem to think spending a whole year working with Sean Payton and Drew Brees won't help him. It's baffling. SP even made Bridgwater look good and Hill decent. I'm excited to see how Winston looks. I'm actually expecting a huge season from him.

Payton is very good about playing to a player's strength. Look at the Teddy games.

This. Payton is a master at putting players in a position to succeed.

I don't think this can be stated enough. Payton coached his arse off and took Teddy B and Taysom to 8-1 the last 2 seasons because he was able to tailor games to their strengths. I also don't think people realize just how much Payton has had to adjust his true offense to what it has been the last few years with all the short throws and screens to compensate for Drew's declining arm strength and injuries. The main going against Jamies compared to Teddy B & Taysom is that we don't have as good of rosters, especially on defense, to help them as much. Biggest obstacle for Payton might be to get it through to Jamies to take it 1 play at a time. Know your route blocking scheme and route combinations on THIS play, anticipate the bltzes and coverage and be prepared for it. Take the dump off to the flats to Kamara or throw it away if necessary, but don't force throws, live to fight another possession

People need to lower expectations for one, going from a HOF QB to anyone else.

In a sense they do. But people also forget that Brees did not provide us with HOF level play the past two years. So in another sense, we are used to that. I think Jameis can be better than 2019-2020 Brees. Not saying he will, but it's possible for sure
