Olave: excels and eats up man coverage. Plays primarily X but could play slot.

Tyson: excels and eats up Zone coverage. Could play X Y and Z

Vele: plays a lot of Z, is the best at winning contested catches and working the middle, and using his body against man coverage

Juwan: best at hitting the seams, in breaking routes, good at finding spots in Zone

Etienne and Kamara (?): both are exceptional at catching screens and swings.

This is really the beginning of a very diverse group of guys that do different things that if used properly could be an upper tier offense. You're giving Shough the tools if these guys stay healthy.

I went down some rabbit holes last night and saw a few people doing videos and talking about him attacking Zone and excelling there. But they could be wrong. I was bleary eyed and unable to sleep last night so maybe my brain was fried

Nick posted a route analysis chart and Tyson’s routes last year basically looked like the inverted chart of Olave’s.

If Tyson can stay healthy and develop chemistry with Shough, Olave is going to be magical. This allows him to really do what he does best.

You aren't wrong because he does absolutely excel at beating zone, but he is even better beating man.

And part of that is just winning on routes, and another part is just being more aggressive and physical going up to get the ball. He is a guy that gets open with his quickness and moves AND also his physicality.

2.39 YRR vs zone (chalk for a good WR)
4.63 YRR vs man (what we would call “top of the class” shite)

With how dire our WR situation is I don’t know how anyone can be unhappy with this pick (obviously he has to play).

Yeah being upset with Tate I would understand b/c he screams a ceiling of a WR2, but Tyson can be a WR1.

It's a shitty draft. People are acting like we passed on elite prospects when none existed at 8.

Downs and Bain sliding should tell people they weren't the prospects the drafniks promoted them to be.
