Dallas kicker went to ND and didn’t play football meanwhile Grupe did, started, and can’t kick for shite missing from 29.

Don’t worry we’ll give him a game ball for making an extra point.

I'm not necessarily taking up for Grupe, but has anyone examined the holder? If your holder is shite, you won't be good and you will shank more than you usually would.

How funny is it that the FO made a pretty shocking change by moving on from 2 solid special teams players to 2 horrible ones… shows how awful things are being ran right now. They can’t even make the layups

Yes we should definitely paint the boat to solve the problem with the gaping hole in the bottom causing it to sink.

When kicker and punter are the issues keeping this team from competing the New Orleans Saints will be a very good team.

Unless the ball is put on its side like a watermelon, no kicker should ever duck hook a kick like the one yesterday.

Two of the most important positions given how close NFL games usually are, so this makes no sense

They have yet to admit the mistake and I doubt they will this late in the year.

Harrison Butker

He hasn’t missed an XP or FG this year.

If we haven't done anything yet, I don't see DA doing anything until the offseason.

Which is absolutely embarrassing given how bad this kid is. But DA led Saints do embarrassing things constantly, so it's expected.

Firing the kicker is generally the response from people who have either A) no clue what's wrong with their team or B) People who have no clue how to fix the real problem with their team.

As I've said, if replacing you're kicker makes you a contender you've got a damn good football team. The Saints are not even close to that. Firing the kicker is just an empty feel good story for fans and really isn't going to improve this Saints team. Now Grupe's future as an NFL kicker can be debated, I personally feel like he will work through his issues as most good young NFL kickers do and will become a quality if not upper tier PK and if/when the Saints move on from him he will become yet another player the Saints gave up on too soon that fans will complain about.

In summary, Yes I believe that Saints could improve the PK and punter positions but it gains this team nothing to do it now when they have such incompetence in several player positions and coaching positions currently.

This is such a weird take. The team and staff can be trash and the kicker can still be replaceable. It's not like Grupe is the only player or coach getting criticism

Its like their dream scenario is to have winning the Division come down to a field goal and miss it!

we couldn't even block a punt correctly, it got coded to a punter fumble and recovery.

I believe that getting rid of both kicker and punter was a money saving move. I don't know a lot about this but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have a lot guaranteed money or would lose a lot if they cut them both in the offseason

Not sure how every kick has gone but the tv showed the laces not fully out on that miss yesterday.
