How much does bad wide receiver play and Carr make the offense line look bad?

Everyone screaming draft Offense line help. But what if it is Carr and no elite recievers that can't do their job? I've watched Carr be indecisive with his reads and take too long to make the throw making it look like it's the OL fault.

What came first the chicken or the egg?

There was definitely issues with the WRs getting separation, and Carr also took too long to just hit the check downs while waiting on receivers to try to separate, which didn't help the OLine, but there was also times when the QB was under duress basically as soon as the ball snapped, mostly because of the OLine but also partly because of the backs missing pickups at times.

So definitely blame to go around on everyone for it, although when the OLine was actually healthy it wasn't nearly as bad as it got once McCoy went down.

The saints were a bad team offensively all around, blame goes on everyone not just Carr I know saints fans who hate Carr won't recognize that but the receivers minus Shaheed were complete arse all around, line was trash and always hurt.

Kamara is overrated now, he shows flashes from time to time but overall is no where near as dominant as he used to be if he ever was. Starting to think Ingram made Kamara

The offense looked great then the oline got hurt. Then it all fell apart. So, the answer is, the oline needs help and it needs to stay healthy.

Bub Means was our WR 1.

We had to trade to get MVS.

We were basically playing a preseason squad and scouting our guys versus trying to win some of those games. Ex. We stuck with Rattler/Haener instead of looking for any veteran options.

Which I agreed with, we are stuck with the 9th pick but it couldve been higher. Bad luck there. (Same record as a few other teams but we pick last)
And we got to see what we may have in Rattler.

Carr is an average at best QB. He can’t elevate a team and won’t make up for the deficiencies of a bad offensive line or sub par WR play. He throws a nice deep ball. He doesn’t seem to protect his WRs enough. That’s his biggest issue IMO.

Shaheed seems like a really good WR, but was out all year. Olave is delicate and is more of a speed option to open up things underneath. Neither is a true #1 WR. And speed is both their biggest strengths. Poor offensive line play negates that because the QB needs time to let the play develop.

Fuaga and McCoy are really good. Penning was a pleasant surprise last year, but needs to be a better pass blocker. Ruiz is average to below average. I think Ram and McCoy made up for his deficiencies in prior years. With them out, he regressed a little IMO. LG is a black hole!

We have needs at all those positions. I think LG is the biggest need with a #1 WR being second. Carr isn’t all pro, but if he was the Vikings QB, he’d look great. Unfortunately, we don’t have their WRs, OL, TEs, RB or OC.

Damn NYG game cost us 4 spots. Picking 9th, but if we lost to the NYG we'd be 5th: Tenn (.522 SOS), Clev (.536), NE (.471), Jax (.478), NO (.505), LV (.540), NYG (.554)

Our SOS would actually be a little lower, and NYG would be higher; but the difference would not be enough to jump to 4th.

This also shows that while the Saints are picking 9th, they were 2 games away from the #1 pick. They just could not hold onto DA for a few more weeks

It was absolutely devastating to have both areas decimated.

So now it’s Carr’s fault the Oline stunk after a few injuries. Clowns should be banned from Saints Talk

Carr is an uninspiring QB and any poster that steps up to the plate to say otherwise is a total fricking dumb arse.

the painful fact is though it took a loser head coach to lobby for him to sign him here and then a contrarian bull shite arse salary cap approach to slop on top of that.

until proven otherwise the Saints are trending downwards.

But like Loomis once said: " Just because the results aren't what we want doesn't mean we aren't doing things the right way."

If he was teaching a class who face timed during or took naps, then everybody would get straight fricking A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol at the face painters downvoting you. Bad Qb play can definitely make an O line look worse than they actually are. Anyone telling you different is stupid. There are tons of QBs who love getting sacked. Tippy toes Carr loves getting sacked

You could have the 1972 Dolphins line and it still wouldn't help Carr

Exactly I’m not saying our line is great. We need improvements and better depth but this board exaggerates how bad it is. Fuaga looks really solid for a rookie. Penning is getting better. Both are good run blockers.

Who knows what they’ll look like in KM’s offense
