How mad would you be at Loomis for drafting Teven Jenkins

NFL-ready frame with broad chest and thick lower half. Jenkins not only plays with excellent upper-body power and hand strength, he combines it with a desired level of body control and athleticism to create a consistent, toolsy talent.

His instincts and processing serve him well in quickly sifting through moving pieces. He can be an intolerant run blocker, looking to finish and bury his opponent once he gets his block locked and centered. Jenkins has good tackle tape, but his short arms and average range in pass sets could be something to keep an eye on. Whether it is at tackle or guard, Jenkins has the talent to become an early starter and a successful pro.

can play inside or outside....tell you what, aint sexy, but man we would be nasty upfront

C-ya project Peat and that salary

We already have the best RT in football so I’d be very confused.

It would allow for them to slide him to the left side and let Armstead walk after this season, or he can plug in at the LG/RG position immediately.

I’m not moving either of our elite tackles into another position. That just doesn’t make sense. Draft a guard in the second or third

I personally want to better our offense having a new QB. I trust neilson and Allen’s creativity in figuring out this defense.

I wouldn’t get mad if we take a tackle that can play inside and letting Peat go if we can save some money.

yeah we already have our starting 5 in place for this year. Sounds like a next year thing after assessing this season. Armstead turns 30 in July. The decline of OT’s generally is 32. Im curious what we do with him, but would be cool with a 2-3 year deal of course. Lets see how healthy he can be this year upcoming.

Armsteads restructured contract go all the way to 2024. Around $5 mill a year, but still. Not saying that means we keep him, but loomis could probably fill in the gaps for an extension potentially.

Not mad at all. I like the jim finks approach of drafting big guys early. Their flame out rate is way lower than other positions.
