I have to spend Saturday night in Lafayette and was wondering about traffic along the way. Once I get to Clearview I'll start taking my usual surface streets that avoid traffic.

too many factors to give a legit time

one 18 wheeler on it's side and you just doubled your time. I have a wedding in Jennings the night before the Seahawks game and I plan on leaving no later than 5am

How long does that take? Why is it faster than I-10?

90 takes about 25 min longer than I-10, but you're almost guaranteed to not run into any issues. 10 is faster under perfect conditions, but you also roll the dice with traffic issues.

Id say that 7 am is a safe time. any later and you may run into issues.

Take 90, it really is the best option. Turn on WAZE and speed and it's probably faster than I-10.

I can make it in about 2.5 hours. Leaving at 9:30 you'll probably miss kickoff though

You will not make kick off if you leave at 9:30

You just can't trust the Basin Bridge and right after the Miss River bridge. 90 is a little bit longer, but much fewer hickups.

Go down 90. frick I-10. Or keep going 10 so 90 can be clear for me.

I-10 sucks but if there's one time where it's least likely to be bad it's Sunday morning.

Traffic getting into new Orleans may be bad though. But you'd have that problem regardless of what route you took

Regardless of which way you go, try and find a way to leave earlier than 9:30. Cause you will probably miss kickoff if you leave then

Try to leave before 9:30 with this being a noon kick off. Take 90 as already mentioned. I think if you'd be on the road around 8:45-9 you'd be good.

Go 90 to and from the game. 100% of the time, period. I've learned my lesson too many times.

hwy 90 100%. I also stay on 90 and don't get off at 310. Anyone know the best parking if I'm coming in from 90. Driving in Sunday morning and my usual spot is a no go.

And please baby Jesus let us beat the Raiders on opening day.

I appreciate the info on hwy 90 but when I check on my phone right now the I-10 including current delays/accidents takes 2 hours 43 minutes to get to my parking spot while Hwy90, with no accidents, takes 3 hours 53 minutes. What accounts for the discrepancy?

I just checked google maps and it shows a bus route for that amount of time. it also shows that it takes longer right now to get to the dome via i-10 but still doesnt give hwy 90 as an option. google is stupid in other words.

I would take 90 if I lived on that end. it takes about 2.5 hours.

leaving at 9:30 you will not make kickoff period. traffic is a bitch in NOLA the closer to game time.
