traffic is a bitch in NOLA the closer to game time.

I always get around that by going Airline hwy to Tulane to Canal.

But, you're correct, right now, HWY 90 is 2 hours and 33 mins and noted to be the quickest route. Much quicker than earlier even though it listed no accidents.

That's a post-apocalyptic looking mother f*cker right there. Is it a high bridge or does it just look that way?

Wouldn't Hwy 90 be a sh*t ton of stoplights compared to I-10 and no stoplights?

I mean, you gotta go through New Iberia, Baldwin, Morgan City, Houma, Gray, Raceland, etc.

Slowing down to 45mph just to go through a sh*t town is the worst.

Not really, only stop lights in a handful of spots

It's not that bad and there's basically zero chance of delays.

I always take 90, and travel to Nola at least a couple times a month. Never had traffic issues on 90. Last year for the Giants game, I left around 7am, and got to the Dome by 9:15 or so. Take 90 to Huey P, Clearview, then Earhardt. And if you're getting on 90 from Ambassador, there may be a total of 4-5 lights until you get to St. Charles Parish. Most of the time those lights are green or only red for a very short amount of time.

And as others have said, frick I-10, especially the Basin Bridge and the 5-8 mile stretch before the MS bridge in BR.

Yeah but headed east from Lafayette on I-10 you are always going to have:
- Abortion Rouge
- Construction
- Some Texas idiot changing a tire or causing a wreck on the basin bridge

Easy, brother

Here's what I've established from this thread:

If it's 2am, its better to take the 10.

On Gameday, take US 90.

How long does that take? Why is it faster than I-10?

I never trust Baton Rouge when I actually have to get somewhere.

Just wanted to say I took US 90 on the way back to El Campo (an hour SW of Houston) and it was totally worth it. Once you get into Broussard there are a sh*t ton of stoplights, but outside of that it was a pleasant trip, and a whole lot faster than driving over the I-10 Pontchartrain Bridge, going through Baton Rouge, the Mississippi River Bridge, and the Basin Bridge.

Thanks for the heads up.
