Franchises that care fire their coaches when they're not doing well.

Saints don't do that. Because they 100% do not care at all. It's why they're a mediocre fricking franchise. No one at all to blame but themselves.

Something screwing with those rankings. With no other info than what’s presented, it’s saying Pete was ranked as the 8th best OC in the league after week 9?

This is an important distinction and one we spend time on in last week’s pod: The numbers say the Bills offense is a top offense in moving the ball (success rate/EPA per play/DVOA/etc). That is not the same statement as “the numbers say Ken Dorsey is a top OC”.

This little table by “Patton analytics” means nothing

Allen wants a fall guy at the end of the season, and apparently they’re leaving the decision up to him.

If he doesn’t make playoffs- he will be the fall guy. Again this head coach doesn’t have the balls to cut his punter, so he doesn’t even think about cutting Carmicheal.

These stats are not consistent though. If you look through the replies you'll see that it changes week to week and before the Vikings game he was ranked 8th. Point being, this chart doesn't tell the whole story.

Yeah I agree. I think its hard to find true analytics to judge offensive play calling. At the end of the day, just watch the games and we can see the blatant silliness of his playcalling. I agree Arthur Smith should be on bottom too. His usage of quarterbacks and Bijan is ridiculous bad. Whats crazy is I think Smith gets fired before DA/Carmichael.

The eye test says Carmichael has no red zone awareness and was totally inept in two losses at game end by not using Taysom Hill in first and goal with timeouts. Keeping Carr in to feed his ego was criminal. Win the fricking game Carmichael. He either lacks situational awareness, has no balls to stand up to players, or is simply stupid.

The answer is all of the above.

The fans tolerate mediocrity. The seats are full and there is a waiting list for tickets.

The answer is not boycotting the Saints if you want a franchise in NOLA. Next owner will demand a new stadium and if you have low ticket sales as well it's a recipe for a move.

Allen cares more about potentially saving his own arse for another year by delaying the firing of Carmichael.
