bullshite. A dominant offensive line can make mediocre qbs and bad tailbacks look pretty f$&king stellar.

Picking Conklin is a home run because he will start at RT from day one. Then you can move Peat to either RG or LG. Not only should they Conklin at 12, but they should draft Vadal with the 3rd round pick as well.

I'm thinking Conklin would be your RG, Peat stays at RT. Lelito goes into camp as LG with Kmete and Peat being next men up.

Saying peat stinks is like saying Beasley is going to suck. Not much playing time, rough up and down year, but showed potential.

Peat had a rough start last season, but in the second half of the year I thought he looked very promising.

I thought this was the general consensus. Now all of a sudden he sucks? ok

Conklin would absolutely be at OG with Peat at RT.

I wouldn't hate it.

Conklin is a lot like Scherff. He's absolutely a question as a tackle but he could be a dominant guard.

ZERO CHANCES of this happening

wouldnt say that.

I think Peat will be serviceable but we wouldnt draft a Conklin to take his spot. They both would eventually start.

Maybe blasphemy, but it would give us flexibility to have a good tackle group without paying a king's ransom for Armstead.

Just a thought, I don't want Armstead to leave.

Assuming Conklin is a great guard then this really could be the best pick in the long run. There will be great d depth in the second round. The benefit of a great line will pay dividends if Brees is here for awhile or we have to bring up a younger guy at qb for whatever reason.

I think the biggest thing is for the pick to be an impact starter, whoever it is.

There'd be nothing stopping them from going dline in rounds 2/3 where this year it's loaded with studs.

I thought he played better at tackle. When Armstead got hurt he stepped in and was able to handle the position.

When Armstead got hurt Kelemete played LT.

I've been calling Peat "Project Peat" for the better part of last season. Glad somebody finally agrees with me. If we do go OT at #12, it basically confirms that Peat was another wasted pick. 1-13 should be a day 1 starter. You don't draft a player here to be a Project!!

You realize players like Trae Waynes (11th) and Vic Beasley (8) were non-starters are sub-50% snap count players.

Look at the 2014 draft too: #1 overall pick Clowney was slow to come even post-injury, #2 Robinson started his career off the bench, #8 Gilbert was benched in favor of a 4th round rookie, #10 Ebron was a backup, #11 Lewan was benched and inconsistent.

shite happens, not all 1st rounders (even top half) are full time starters right away.

But we're the only team that misses on draft picks.

Patriots have missed on just as much as us, their only difference is they collect a ton of picks to try and hit on and bring in cheap free agents who play well, as opposed to us and expensive free agents who don't.

The past few years have been bad, nobody is going to deny that...but that's why you went out and fired your old scouts and got new ones.
