on ESPN News yesterday, while I was getting ready to watch parade coverage, said the Saints should let Reggie walk and sign LT away from the Chargers.
What are your thoughts on that scenario?
Sorry if "Germans".

Pierre Thomas can do everything that LT could now. LT is washed up.

There is a reason Herm Edwards is not a coach anymore.

What is the point in replacing fresh young legs with old ones that have no tread left on them? Unless LT comes that much cheaper.

The tenure of a running back in the NFL is short. LT is near the end. Bad call.

Definatly not a good swap. Last year I was hoping for LT, but after seeing what he went through this year, no way.
Also, how you doing Colonels? Catching up on sleep now?

LT is now Shaun Alexander/Edge James/any washed up former superstar RB.

Should trade Bush to Seattle in an uncapped year allowing his signing bonus to hit next year. If we are going to pick up another back it needs to be a power back to replace Bell. If Bush is gone we need someone other than Bell as the backup.

I don't have a problem with dealing Bush if they can get good value (I have no idea what he's worth right now, if someone offered a pick in the 30s-40s I'd figure jump on it). PT, a mid to late draft pick (or even Bell, he may come cheap since he didn't do anything in the last 6-7 games), and some undrafted FA type for our #3 would be fine. LT isn't worth a shite, though.

If we could get a good DL for him, great, but I doubt it.

Agree.....need to deal Bush for better value players...I like him but he stays hurt and can't break in as a starter...we can get more value by dealing him now. Plus he wants to go back to the west coast IMHO.

NO HE DID NOT! He said that if they can not sign Reggie that LT might be the one that takes his place. It was pure speculation on his part.
