Here's what we can do this offseason w/ our contracts

For reference, we are estimated to be about $55M above the cap right now in the offseason.
These show what will happen to the cap if we CUT or TRADE the players. Again, this is in the offseason. It's not the same right now in-season.
CUT:
TRADE:
Even if we cut or trade virtually all of these players that give us a positive, we will still be in the red. Likely going to need to restructure a few of these contracts and add void years to reduce the charge to actually get us under the cap.

That doesn't make sense. Why would a trade be a different amount? Are you sure you're looking at the right periods (ie, cut pre-June 1 and trade post-June1)?

I have no idea where he gets his numbers. I don't think cuts and trades change the acceleration of pro-rated bonus money. I have no idea why you'd see that difference for a guy like Latt.

If you cut a player, the team is still on the hook for the guaranteed salary. If you trade a player, any guaranteed money will transfer to the new team.
