Bingo. Sean used to scheme dudes wide tf open. Now everything is long arse developing routes. And quitting on the run after one fumble. No identity. No confidence in any of the players.

This has been a constant since 2006. Difference is, we had a QB that could methodically carve up any defense so it was often overshadowed.

Your eyes are deceiving you. What you see if the difference in a 70% passer vs a 60% passer.
Carmichael has been here 14 years, he knows how to call an offense. It’s not going to look exactly the same as having a Drew Brees or even a Taysom under center. What ya saw last week was a QB who lacked confidence and did not know where he was going with the ball, one who threw a ton of passes falling backwards

This is the same clunky offense that we had last year with CSP. Last in league in passing yards, 19th in scoring offense. Drew isn’t walking through that door
Lets completely ignore the fact that Callaway and Smith were our 1&2 WR last year and are now our 4&5. 4 different QB's and a Starting O-Line that played only 1 game together last year.

Jameis seems like a good dude imo

He's a shitty QB and a shitty person, that's all.
Better at both than you.

What’s with the early struggles this year bubba?
Can we all agree we should go out and carve up the panthers?

If this offense doesn't score 17+ against Carolina this week than yes we should all be concerned about this team and Carmichael's playcalling.

Carmichael's playcalling.
same guy who called plays in 2011 when CSP broke his leg?
quote:
The Saints averaged 452 yards per game in their first five games before Payton got injured and had to cede play calling to Carmichael and 474 yards for the final 11 regular-season games after that. The Saints set numerous offensive records that season behind Carmichael, including most yards gained in a season.
and 2012 when Payton was suspended?
quote:
Carmichael handled the play calling in 2012 after Payton was suspended in the spring, and the Saints finished second in total offense, averaging 410.9 yards per game. They finished first in passing offense, averaging 312.3 yards per game.
or 2016 ?
quote:
The Saints started the season with Carmichael unexpectedly calling the plays. It’s unclear how much of the duties were shared between him and Payton, but Carmichael was generally considered the primary play caller until the Saints played the Rams and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Payton called the plays again after that game.
The Saints averaged 422 yards in the 10 games Carmichael appeared to be the main play caller and then 432.7 yards in the remaining six games of the season. They ended up first in total offense and second in scoring offense by the end of the season.
funny all of sudden Carmichael can't coordinate an offense. yall gotta get ya stories straight

My intention in this OP was pretty clear, allow everyone else to post who or what is holding the Saints offense back. Already gave my view.

Too much on his plate? Can walk and chew gum at the same time. Maybe he’s meant just to be an assistant?
