Completely agree. Also running games can be a fickle bitch and guys running with attitude /finishing hard runs can absolutely be contagious for the rest of the offense. Not saying Pierre can't do that, but I just think these two young guys brought something tonight that we haven't seen much of, if at all this year.

We're not going to beat the teams remaining in the nfc by going shotgun /throwing 50x per game. I'm sick of announcers /others calling our short passing game to the rbs our running game. Short passing games can get inconsistent when you're relying on them against tough lbers and hard hitting dbs. What never gets old is grinding out 4 ypc to set up intermediate shots down field with an accurate qb.

sure it does.

if you can beat them throwing, no need to run it as much.

the run yardage total won't pile up as much.

Huh? YPA = yards per attempt. It's actually the opposite of what you're saying: the less often you run the ball (and opponents put less of an emphasis on defending the run), the better the YPA will be. Unless the Eagles have been going full retard, playing 8 man fronts despite terrible pass defense, their 4th ranked rushing defense in terms of YPA is very impressive.

I love how Robinson has been able to get yardage against stacked boxes. He's done it in about 3 games this year. HE's our only back that can do that. He should get the majority of the carries vs SEA because that is the kind of back that beats them

His finish against Arizona (4 carries, 38 yards when we were running out the clock) made me moist. Still, ignoring draft status and history with the organization, Ingram is our best carrying the ball.

I don't know man, I'm drunk.

over poured.

sauced.

my cable went out though.

seriously.

had to listen to the whole 4th quarter on the radio.

just glad to see the O-line string together some nice blocking in a game where I think most of us wouldn't have expected it.

doesn't matter who ran the ball,

Im definitely impressed with Ingram. I just like Khiry slightly more. Ingram scares me the way he carries the ball

Ingram needs to learn how to not run so upright. If he can get lower consistently, he'll do better. He has a tendency to get lifted because of it.

Imma jump in this thread.

PT being out I think forced Payton to be less predictable in the run game. Before PT had his situations where he'd be I the game. Ingram had his. Defenses likely picked up on these trends and had an idea what was coming.

now shits all mixed up.

My earlier point was that why in the world would you want to completely eliminate a guy who has been one of our best weapons. THAT was the premise of the OP. "I hope Pierre stays out".

Yes, I like the idea of Ingram and Robinson getting more carries, but it's ridiculous not to have Pierre available. Best of the three at blocking and screens. Why eliminate the weapon. Unless, I suppose, you don't trust Payton and Brees to use the personnel they have.
