With the season fast approaching, I figured I would check out the team shop to see if there was anything new worth purchasing. I noticed quite a few items with more of a copper gold than the tan gold Nike has been using. I like it a lot. I remember Nike updating the gold last off-season, but the change was negligible. I haven't seen anything about a change this off-season, but the gold of these items is definitely different. I'd love to see the pants, helmet, and numbers go back to this color.

The old gold of the Archie days are the best color ever and it shouldn't have never been changed. But those are nice, like the shirts.

No the middle is considered a "throwback" design. The primary gold is still the same unfortunately.

This would be tremendous news. I am not a fan of the switch Nike made to Black & Khaki.

You are probably right but all of those golds look the same.

I've found some good stuff on Amazon and eBay from time to time.

what they have now is "platinum" its not gold at all, that has bugged the hell out of me for years, hated it from day 1 they decided the "black and gold" saints would wear black and platinum

I've never understood the complaints with the gold. It finally isn't that mustard gold we used to have, this just looks so much cleaner and crisper. Nothing khaki about it.

I would prefer this gold. I don't think they need to go back to the original brass/brown mustard gold, but I still rank that ahead of the current gold.

There's a short sleeve version also since long sleeve tees are comfortable about 3 days a year here. But short sleeve is sold out on half the sizes.
