Monster leg but too many shanked punts. Looked like the second coming of Morstead in year 1 but was below average in year 2. I don't know who is better out there though.

Noticed that too. Felt like we had at least a shank or two a game. He would then boom one 60 yards and pin them inside the 5. Very inconsistent.

Plus, if you keep Groupe, then it makes sense to keep his holder, especially if you think there is not much difference in the quality of the punting.

so Hedley won the job then

if you are trading a guy on cut day, you are cutting that guy on cut day...

Would rather have a steady 45-yard-net every kick than a guy who goes 60, 25, 50, 35.

Set up the Texans first TD with a shank. Had another bad shank against the Chiefs that led to their first TD.

Hope not. Hope we find a better punter on the waiver wire or free agency. He was not good either.

Hedley is the punter, per Underhill.

Isn't there some kind of draft compensation for carrying an international player on your roster?

I’d give them a 6th to bring him back. Not because of nostalgia but because he’s the best option.

I'm ok with it as well
More savings
Instead of having to overpay for Gilliken you have an option with little to no dropoff at a cheaper price tag

It's the nature of the league these days
Some positions you just don't pay anymore with the the way QB, DE, OT, CB, WR take up majority of your cap

Anywhere you can cut costs you are better off doing that

They are still overpaying for Kamara with what other RB's are getting these days but you are ok because you are getting a cheaper QB for now and not having to pay a Mahomes or a Burrow, etc

Even with all the shanks I believe he’s still averaged 47 yards a punt. Don’t get rid of him unless you have an upgrade which I don’t see. He’s making pennies so it’s not about money. Hedley didn’t impress me but neither did Gilikin. Zach Wood has to feel awfully lonely right now.

Yeah if we were gonna trade the farm for Deshaun might as well.

I was even less impressed with Hedley. Hope we explore other options.
