They're gonna say his knee was down. Of course if the same thing happened in the end zone they would incomplete because he didn't complete the catch.

if you can’t officiate that in real time how can you judge his opinion on literally any play or flag?

Ther is no reason it should take a challenge for this to be declared a completion. He di n't survive the proverbial control it to the ground.
