Just sign Jameis. It's not that fricking hard. The Saints walk into the playoffs this year if he doesn't get hurt. And he'll finally have Thomas back.

If the compensation was right, that deal would have already been done. I'd give a 2. Nothing more.

There's zero chance I'd give Jameis a long term contract.

In your mind, what kind of contract would you be willing to give Winston?

2-3 years and find a QB in the league with similar tenure and pay him in that range.

Gross! Would not give players or picks for him! He’s trash.

Which is well and good but Loomis needs to find a way into a top 5 draft pick next year or two to find the next QB. Winston isn't going to last. He will have even less wiggle/scramble and I don't think he gets the ball out that fast. He'll be injured again soon and that's even if he does play well in the interim.

So, 3 years, 25M?

I'm passing on that.

You may not want Jimmy G, but this is just asinine.

Dude is 35-15 as a Niners starter. They 8-27 without him. Lol.

What was Teddy’s record as a Saint?

Niners are stacked and he’s gotten worse over the years. They run wild as well.

Would rather not give up assets to get him. If it’s going to be a game manager then don’t give up picks or players to acquire such a QB.

Unless he doesn't find any other suitors he will want longer than that and a ton of money as a starter. Not sure I'm down with that.

The 49ers are a defensive, ground game based team. The majority of those losses occurred not because Jimmy G was out. They occurred because the 49ers also had significant defensive personnel injuries & injuries at RB as well.

The fact the 49ers traded away 2 1st round picks to get Trey Lance while Jimmy G was penciled in as the starter should give you insight as to how the 49ers FO felt about his inefficiencies at QB.
