Future of The Saints beyond Gayle

After Mr. Benson passed and Gayle assumed control, I never heard where control would go if something were to happen to her. Does she have kids? or would the NFL look for a buyer for the team from her estate?

Why would that be the case? She's now the owner, not Tom. They're not her children.

Benson kids aren't getting it. They were wrote them out of the will I believe. So that leaves either someone in the Saints organization or some investors she has in place

for the record Tom only had 1 living kid; Renee, whom he adopted with his first wife.
She has 2 kids, Rita & Ryan Leblanc.

NFL requires one individual to own 51% of the team. Not one Manning nor Brees has that kind of liquid cash.
Gayle has every right to will the team to anyone of her choosing. I’m sure the estate tax will be a bitch so who knows what the actual plans are.
With that said, I doubt any owner, local or otherwise, will make any attempt to relocate the team. The franchise/market is in a much better financial situation than it was 15 years ago.

Just because the team is valued at 1B doesn’t mean Ms. Gayle will sell to the highest bidder.
Like I said no heirs so her motivation to sell is different than most previous NFL owners.

Ownership of the team was never in the trusts, and I doubt the NFL would allow that kind of thing anyway.
The only thing they got was a stake in the teams' profits (which Benson desperately tried to sub out but couldn't).
And in his will Benson gave the team to Gayle, which is his right to will his assets (outside of trusts) as he wishes.
So unless Gayle wills the team to Renee/Rita/Ryan or sells it to them (or a future owner does the same), they are shite out of luck.

She needs to sell to a good steward. Price shouldn’t matter in her situation. Someone who will keep the team in NOLA for sure.
