Well then flip one of them. I like them at 10-6

7-9 is their floor. I don't expect 13-3 or 14-2 or some shite like that, but I expect them to have a better season than the last 2. Payton sounded hungry for the first time in a long arse time once the announcement came about of him staying in Nola. They either get a wild card or just miss. That seems reasonable to me.

I know we lost to Atlanta and beat Carolina

What's the other one?

2 short weeks on the road is awful

Pretty high expectations. New Orleans plays a damned tough schedule that has brutal stretches. Older quarterback, limited options at receiver, a running back that can't stay healthy and a defense that has been terrible for a couple years now. They might overachieve, but it's a tall task.

You do realize that they use a formula to make the schedule right? We knew who were were playing next year a long time ago.

Correct. You know 14 of the 16 opponents for a given season before the previous season starts. Here are the Saints' 2017 opponents:

Home: Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Detroit, New England, N.Y. Jets, 1 NFC East Team

Away: Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Minnesota, Buffalo, Miami, 1 NFC West Team

Well you have them at 7-9 right?

9-7 to 10-6 which is where I think they'll be isn't all that far off. I don't think they'll be a legit Super Bowl contender by no means.

A lot of L's on this schedule. 8-8 at best but I see 5-11

We go over this every year. They haven't gone worse than 7-9 with Brees. It's not happening. Even when they are shitty Drew can still win games himself.

With good guard play, this team will be hard to beat

Bad guard play, we'll go 7-9. Even last year with absolute pathetic guard play at times and the worst defense in the NFL, we went 7-9

10 year anniversary (almost) of the 2006 Falcons Monday night game.

No cold weather games in Dec.

From Weeks 6-11 their opponents include the Panthers (2X), Seahawks, Broncos and Chiefs.

Have to get off to a good start. That middle of the schedule is tough for any team in the league.

Same ol story, will be dependent on what the defense does. Shitty defense, once again, and we are a 7-9 team.

decent defense = 10-6, 11-5

good defense = legit contender

I'm going to guess between bad and decent for the defense. There were a shitload of new guys out there last year with potential. The Saints need to draft like they did last year, getting more contributors on defense.

I'm not a Saints fan, but my best guess is 8-8
