He also was first among TEs in the shuttle.

Excellent point. Your sig pic (Kamara) is another example of a guy who can be productive in the pros who was underutilized in college.

Shitty offensive production in college does not automatically equal shite production in the pros, if there are clear signs that said player was not used properly (in relation to his talent and abilities).

don’t know if the Saints go after him, but I always wonder why we didn’t get him the ball more.

I dunno, maybe because we haven't thrown to the tight end in about a decade or two?

Foster Moreau for tight end: Should we?
Measured in at 6’4”, 253 lbs

Ran a 4.66 and a 36.5 vertical

That’s impressive numbers. Should we think about him if we can get him in the late rounds?

I've said on previous threads that i think he will be a success in the nfl , eventually all pro. If the saints want him they may have to get hime 3rd round, maybe even w/our 1st pick. He will blossom w/ the right team.

I think part of the reason for his quiet Sr. year was all of the shuffling on the O-Line and the bigger need for his pass blocking. I recall that he had some nice catches late in the season.

He was a team leader and I think his skills between the ears will allow him to continue improving, especially when combined with the physical measurements.

No, Foster never could get separation from defenders and would miss key blocks. His numbers don't translate to the field....pass

On the rare occasion they threw to him, he was open. He also tore up the senior bowl practices showing great hands and separation.

I’m not sure about 2018 but Foster was the highest graded blocking TE in college football in 2017.

Sounds like you remember a handful of plays and are trying to extrapolate them to the player as a whole.

I would love a scenario that has us trading back our #2 for say a early 3rd and a 4th. Use the 3rd on BPA and use that 4th on him if still available.

He started as a blocker as a true freshman in the SEC West and never relinquished the job. He can block very well.

Burrow rarely targeted him because he was never open. On the rare occasion he did get open, he never made an athletic move after catch. Also, practice and a real game are 2 different animals. Jonathon Giles is a great example of that.

I remember him usually trucking a guy on most of his receptions...

Bottom line is that we have a limited number of draft picks and we don't need to waste one on a blocking tight end with stiff hips.

Saints don't need a blocker, they need a receiving threat. Foster want get drafted period. Laughable to even consider the saints blowing a pick on a blocking tight end.

You are slow. LSU made him block. His senior bowl tape and combine results show he can do much more.

I’m not saying the saints should draft him but to say no one will shows that you don’t live in reality and/or have something against Moreau.

I have nothing against him. I thought him and Giles were the most disappointing players on squad this year. I expected much more out of him especially when he said he'd break the reception record. If you talk big you better back it up and he didn't.

Giles was a major disappointment. Moreau just never got a chance to be a real receiving threat. He caught the ball whenever it was throw his way.
