He's cheap and you have to have 53.

I'd like to see Woods play Foskey more just to make damn sure there's nothing there before cutting him this offseason.

Whoever scouted him should be fired too.

Stay away from Notre Dame players. Too much risk. If you stick with drafting SEC players, THE Ohio State players, or Iowa TE's, at least in the first five rounds, and then use rounds 6 and 7 for high risk, high reward players from other conferences, you'll hit on 6 out 7 draftees everytime.

Falls under the "cheaper to keep her" clause. He will probably be cut after 2025 unless he shows something next year and they allow him to ride out his contract through 2026.

I'd like to see him get some reps. I haven't noticed him out there at all.

And to think we could have had. Brian Branch with this pick. Brian Branch is an all pro player and Foskey is being talked about being cut.

I would also. The fact that they were unwilling or unable to move Chase Young makes it very hard to get those looks. Young is playing of a contract so sitting him so a virtual bust can try to salvage something isn’t happening not should happen. Maybe give him Cams reps but there again your going to sit a legend in what is likely his swan song season. Unfortunately I think we already know what we know about Foskey. More playing time might just be lipstick on a pig.

Because we are stuck financially with him

He contributes on special teams, so we have that going.

I argued on here so many times during the draft he should have been the pick. Could play nickel or safety.

Between whiffing on that pick and picking Miller over Achane, Loomis needs to be gone yesterday.

I agreed with you at the time for Branch and Achane. I never got the Miller over Achane pick.

It's sickening how easy these fools throw away picks trying to be the smartest in the room. Davenport obviously takes the cake recently, but Turner wasn't worth it and neither has Ruiz over the players we could've gone after. Foskey is just a complete waste of a high value 2nd round pick. Heads need to roll.

Jeff Ireland should share that blame being head of scouting.

Well to me he hasn't been a huge disappointment because I didn't know who the hell he was until we drafted him so I didn't know what expectations to have other than we drafted him.

Lets just review the past 2 years and how lackluster its been. The obvious ones are obvious --- but sometimes they just decided to get TOO cute.

2023: Going into the year it was obvious we needed: DT (no depth and talent), DE (aging vets), LB (aging vets), Safety (aging vets), OL (going into peat's last year and who knew with Ramczyk's knee), WR (michael thomas was still iffy)
1st - Bryan Bresee (DT) this was a given.
2nd - Isaiah Foskey (DE); could have gone with BJ Ojulari, Luke Musgrave, Keion White, Brian Branch
3rd - Kendre Miller (RB); I'm not going to shite on it too much considering how well he played at TCU, however you really overlooked Tyjae Spears, De'Von Achane, and Tank Bigsby for him. I can understand Spears (knee concerns), but Achane literally has that quick twitch ability you needed and still lack on this team. Bigsby's build just complements AK a fair amount. Oh yeah, Kobie Turner --- but he was projected later
4th - Nick Saldiveri (OG): teams went on a run after this for OL, it was a crapshoot and he has been a decent backup
4th - Jake Haener (QB): shoot your shot, NBD
5th - Jordan Howden (S): Solid pick, has potential to be an average starting safety.
6th - AT Perry (WR): meh
Late round picks, you did well, but fricking WHIFFS in the 2nd and 3rd.

2024: Still WR, OL, DL, and S. Second tier needs were LB, TE
1st - Taliese Fuaga (OT): Solid player so far. He's had growing pains, but I think most of his bad grades coincided with backup QB play. He's done better than Mims, Fautanu, Morgan, and Guyton so far it sounds like
2nd - Kool-Aid McKinstry (CB): Up and down rookie year, but he'll have his chance. I do wish Cooper DeJean landed here, but between him, Lassiter, and Melton I think you got the best overall prospect.
3rd - sean payton deal
4th - to move into 2023 for another 4th
5th - Spencer Rattler (QB): this is fine, shoot your shot
5th - Bub Means (WR): TBD, but like AT perry he's shown potential. Might be a WR3/4 at most but thats solid for a 5th
5th - Jaylen Ford (LB): TBD, special teamer?
6th - Kristian Boyd (NT): hard to tell, but if I'm being honest the entire DL looked bad
7th - Josiah Ezirim (OT): shrug

Foskey a disappointment? Ya think???? LOL

A wasted 2 years worth of picks.

The only guys that have panned out are the guys we took in the 1st round.
The hit rate among our picks is absolutely AWFUL!!

Heads need to roll!!!
