LSU because 1) it will be their first perfect season in my lifetime 2) it will be against the gumps
Saints first super bowl was great, but I think the 2nd (if it ever comes) won't be and as big of a deal as the 1st

Easy one for me. Saints. I've made it clear that the Saints will always overrule LSU.

LSU this year only cause it'll be over Saban in New Orleans. That loss would hurt more than a Saints loss this year.

If I could GUARANTEE one it would be the Saints, because it'll be harder for them to do it than it will be for LSU.
So your saying that LSU has a better chance of beating Alabama vs. Saints beating the pack.
yeah yeah

Why would that statement amuse you? Saints would have to go through Pack and then the super bowl.

Sounds like to me he's saying LSU has no shot of beating 'BAMA. I like it.

Regardless of that stupid thought, he's saying LSU that beat a team at their own stadium now playing basically at home has less of a chance than saints whom already lost to team at their stadium where they'd have to meet again and that doesn't even take into account that they still have another victory to go in this thing called the superbowl. I don't care if you are a bama fan or not, that's fricking stupid.

Nothing will ever beat the Saints Super Bowl for me, but a perfect season with 2 wins over Bama comes close. Make mine LSU.
Exactly this.

LSU. Magical season. One for the ages. Over Bama. Perfect.
Saints are great but not the dominate team. LSU is dominate and would be a shame if they didn't win.

i graduated from LSU so of course I love my tigahs. But I was born and raised in New Orleans, so my blood is a little blacker and more true gold. Of course, if i had to make that decision I would cry about not picking my tigers, but who dat.

tough call, I'd prolly go Saints cuz dynasty type runs are a lot harder to come by in the NFL than NCAA.
This topic is on my list of things to look into. Maybe someone wants to look it up before me. This...
Have there been years in which the NFL champion was in the same state as the NCAA champ?
With the SB in NOLA in '13 it is possible for Louisiana to have the BCS & SB champ with both championship games played in NOLA in a 13month span. Mai talk about golden age of football cher.

At this stage of the game, with one game to play for a MNC and historical season, id have to say LSU. Factor in the scenario of our opponent and it makes it even more clear.
The Saints still have 2 regular season games left and the playoffs to go... so that immediacy is not there for me...

I glanced, closest I found was Steelers SB win in 1976 for the '75 season then Pitt as national champs for the '76 season with a '77 Sugar Bowl win to go 12-0
TX and the FL universities could never hookup to the same big years for the boys, Dolphins, or Bucs.

Saints without hesitation. Not even close.

What if the Superbowl was being hosted in New Orleans and The Saints were in it?
Saints come first to me, they got me into football so i say a Saints superbowl>>>LSU NC.

This question makes my head hurt. Any other year I say Saints no doubt but I'm not so sure at this moment.
I want both this year !

I can think of thousands of reasons to want the tigers to pull it out.
